Didn't they have that storyline in that Dennis Quaid/Jake Gyllenhaal disaster movie?

Just think of the money that can be saved in infrastructure in these cities. This is great news.

Fortunately, it won't matter, since we'll all be dead from avian flu by then. One wonders whether journalistic training these days consists simply of conveying baseless hysteria.

The first study to combine computer models of rising temperatures with records of the ancient climate has indicated that sea levels could rise by up to 20ft (6m) by 2100, placing millions of people at risk.

I know they act like children but they are aged. Someone needs to them they don't need to worry because they won't be around.

Oh well, they can just move to France and take over there. The French wont put up any or much resistance and cater real good to their captors. (a little whiney but ....)

And they'll probably still demand federal funding to rebuild NOLA again.

Doesn't London have one too? The Thames, which they call the Timms, in their quaint way with words.

I'll take a flaming for that remark.

"Dr Overpeck said that the results added to the urgency of measures to control the greenhouse gas emissions contributing to global warming."

Wait, but the fact that this stuff happened before seems to show that greenhouse gases are not necessarily the cause of global warming! Nor does this study show any correlation between an increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide and higher temperatures!

Never mind that, though! There is a watermelon (green on the outside, red on the inside) agenda to pursue!
