This is exactly what Israel faces and fears. The birth rate of Jews is a little over 2 per couple, while Palestinians pop out 5+ per family. When the Moslem population outnumbers the Jewish ones, they may as well start cutting out their own little yellow star patches, because you know that is what the Muzzies will vote for.

If you got rid of Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver, we'd be talking.

I guess we could forward that request through the "usual channels."

If not, Mr. Rahman faces the possibility of death by execution.

A little redundant, don't you think?

We had better be ready, because everything you said is correct. With the nations surrounding us turning to Godless Communism and they and Russia and China uniting with the forces of the false God worshiping Islamites who persecute any and all who dare convert to Christianity, it is easy to foresee a time in the not too distant future when they demand that you deny Christ or die.

Troubling times, but as you say, no surprise to those who study the Bible.

The Christian and Jewish "purge" you are describing is tit for tat the Fifth seal of Revelations in Chapter 6. It should be read with the end of the story, Revelations chapter 20.

It describes Christians being beheaded wholesale world wide because they will not renounce their faith and accept the world wide monetary system. I do not find it a co-incidence that beheading is the method of death. I suspect the new world wide religion will take on that from Islam.

But first must come total finiancial collapse, then bloody chaos. What has come is occupation, and relgious war. Seal 1-2, past, 3 happening. Welcome to the Tribulation.

Well, if your theory is correct (and I don't dispute it at all) then obviously a "Pre-Trib" Rapture is not in the cards, as a lot of Theologians expect it to be.

That would leave only the "unsaved" behind to suffer the Trib.
According to that theory, some of the remnant who, realizing that this "God" thing is for real, repent and accept Christ.
Then THEY get to endure or fall victim to the persecution of the "Beast".

Ya wanna bet he'll be wearing a turban?

Anyway; if there already has been a "Rapture", then it has escaped my notice of it.

I both anticipate the Rapture with great joy, and yet at the same time rather dread it.

There are a lot of people whom I love very much who may well be left behind.

Do we get to take our dogs with us?
Mark Twain opined that if Heaven was gained by merit rather than Grace, that it would be populated by more dogs than men.

I think he was on to something there.

FWIW; I hope (although it's admittedly very unlikely) that when "it all comes down", that I could be in Jerusalem.

Shalom - UJ

I hope you are here in Jerusalem too, and also hope that I will still be here. When the world's economy collapses in the next year or so fulfilling the third seal, I am sure the same theologians will change their preaching from the pulpit to react to it.

They will increase their teaching on tithing.

I have become rather jaded on false prophets. It is a blessing to me to be from a Church that teaches the hard stuff along with the feel good stuff. Feel good has become an industry. It seems the watchmen on the walls in many cases have learned to play lullaby's on their horns.

Just dug this out of the archives for your perusal.

Its a track on my "Home From the Hill" CD - vocal with guitar.
If you have broadband and can download an Mp3 file and I have an e-mail to send it to, I'll fire it off to you for your evaluation.

'Night In Jerusalem'
"Uncle Jaque"

Oct 2, 2000

I have been sorting through my music files lately, and something on the TV news regarding the tragic (but not surprising) events of late in the Holy City (I'm NOT talking Rome, here) sort of reminded me of this song I was inspired to write some years ago (about 1987 as I recall) when I was going through my "religious phase".

At the time, I was recovering from surgery in the So. Maine Medical Ctr, looking out over the lights of Portland, Maine, and reflecting on what it's going to be like looking out over the "New Jerusalem". Being a mountain boy from NH, I've always been a little averse to urban settlements... but that's going to be one beautiful City, isn't it?

Anyways, when I got home, I picked up my guitar and this just sort of "came out". I was as much surprised as anybody, especially since it didn't seem to be the sort of thing that a Gentile would be singing, much less writing (and a Baptist at that!) but I really like it and still sing it on occasion.

Never having written the score out, the music is a little hard to describe other than "rollicking" or "celebratory"... but here are the lyrics, such as I remember them. I rather impulsively wanted to share them with you and wonder what your impression might be.

"NIGHT IN JERUSALEM"
J. Cardigan Clarke (c) 1987

1.,
All day long in streets of darkness,
Lord, I've tried to pass the test;
Fallen far short of your glory, Lord,
though I've tried my level best;
There's lots more I need to do here, Lord,
lots more I need to learn,
Though my weary heart for sanctuary,
frequently does yearn!

CHORUS:

In my dreams, the golden spires
of your Temple meet the sun;
In your streets the children dancing;
hear them sing, and laugh, and run;
Your sweet flowers soothe my spirit;
Though it's not time to come Home;
Let me spend one night, Dear Lord....
In Jerusalem!

2.
City of God, City of David,
priceless pearl beyond worth;
Shining light upon Mount Zion;
Capitol City of the Earth!
Let me drink from your crystal fountains,
wander through your rainbow halls...
Hear the trumpet sound the Sabbath
from your alabaster walls!

(Chorus)

3.
Say there, Pirgrim!; Have you seen Her -
shining high upon the hill?
Ancient City of our Fathers,
are her banners flying still?
Or when back towards the Kingdom
wandering souls choose to start,
Is Jerusalem that City,
God rebuilds within our heart?

(Chorus)

That is real nice. I too look forward to the Millinium and the "City on the hill". The entrance price is a bit steep, but well worth it. (Revelations 6 and 20)

Can you post it on a website so I can download it, if you post the link here you might get swamped.

I'm not quite "big" enough to have a web presence to link sound files on; wouldn't even know how to do it if i did.

I can usually figure out how to attach one to an e-mail, however.
If you'd like to drop me a P-mail via FR with an e-dress we can at least try it.

Does anyone know if there is a site that would host a few sample sound files that people could download from?

I have a photobucket account for image files; something along those lines for tunes might be nifty.

Getting back to our eschatological discussion - my theory is that a sure sign that the apocalypse is imminent will be when significant oil reserves are found in Israel. Wildcatters have theorized that there must be some oil down there somewhere, but so far have come up dry on test wells.

Currently, oil = power in this World economy. And for the most part, it's sources are controlled by Muslims, with significant acquistions in other places around the World by Communism - notably China.

In an "unholy alliance", they can pretty much determine the fate of the rest of Civilization. And that kind of power they will not tolerate being compromised - especially by the object of their ancient and universal comtempt; Israel.

With Israel refusing to participate in their monopolistic oil cabal, they won't be able to manipulate prices or supply quite as much - thereby losing a modicum of control over other nations. No longer dependant on "foriegn aid", Israel can send the US State Dept. and our Saudi puppeteers packing and rise up out of the defensive and generally shrinking little corner that our politicians have been backing them into ever since 1948, as far as I can determine.

Secretary Rice (or whoever is US Secretary of State at the time) will quickly find, much to their consternation, that Israel won't be taking their orders from Washington any more, thankyouverymuch.

And that will make the Arab/Muslim/Communist World furious, and may well provide the "hooks" in their "jaws" (EZ 38:4) that will compel them to join together and attack from the "North quarters" (38:6). I'll have to check with Jimmy DeYoung's site

http://jimmydeyoung.gospelcom.net/pp/

to see what all of those tribes mentioned in Ezekiel represent in terms of current nations... but "Persia" is now Iraq, isn't it? How interesting.
"Ethiopia" and "Libya" are pretty obvious.

"Gog, Tubal, and Rosh", as I remember, were supposed to represent the current Russia. And isn't it interesting how nearly due North of Jerusalem - almost on the same longitudinal line - lies Moscow.

So when we hear about a major gusher in Israel, stand by - cause there's gonna be a whoooole lotta shakin' goin' on!

Stay tuned - Any day now.

Oh well...looks like Canada is just following the old policy of the USA.
AFAIK, that was basically the unspoken policy of the US State Department
until lawyer Michael Horowitz sound the alarm about the situation.
Some details here:

I wish Harper good luck in the effort. It won't be easy.
And we (USA folks) should feel too smug...our State Department basically
used to have an unspoken policy to NOT give asylum based on persecution for Christians.
See link in post 34 for some details.

Within that Ezekiel 38 invasion is Turkey. For a long time a spot of stability, till they voted in Islamic rule three or so years ago. Now it is rapidly spiraling downward.

But Ezekiel 38 comes after 37 which is the return of the ten tribes to the Mountains of Israel, or as the UN calls it, the west bank of the Jordan river. And 37 comes after 36 a description of a shift in the west bank from Arabs and Unwanted Nobodies to the people of Israel.

What brings about that shift I believe is shown in the Isaiah 14:29-Isaiah:19 series of events that starts with the destruction of the Palestinians and ends with the destruction of Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and a good portion of Iran.

I think the west bank becomes moot after a Nuclear War that wipes out Israel's neighbors.

As for the Oil, Israel is now pumping sweet-light crude from the Dead sea area. I suspect that the Dead Sea is the worlds largest salt dome oil deposit. I think the public discovery of that will be the hook that calls Russia down as you do. But I also suspect that an Oil Crisis is going to crash the world economy first. (Revelations 6, seal 3).

I believe that seal 1 is the UN, and seal 2 is Islam. I think the Isaiah 14 will happen within a year, perhaps this spring. Isaiah 14 should be read with Zephaniah 2 as they are both haves of the clue. In Zepahaniah 2 it states Gaza will be abandoned, Ashdod and Ashkelon destroyed. It states that a smoke cloud will come from the north and kill everyone in Gaza. In Ashkelon is the chlorine plant where all the clorine is made for Israel's water, they have had to evacuate it once already because the Pali's dropped a rocket in the middle of the plant. If they rupture the storage facility and the wind shifts south... due north is Gaza.

Very intersting times ahead for us all I think.
