No, I didn't. I spent most of the day in Columbus and the rest working here.

If you hear about a C Span replay, give me a ping, OK? I'm sure we'll get the gist of it on Special Report, but from the sounds of it, I'd like to hear the whole thing.

Germany would have crushed Russia without our help and then they would have taken us out

Why do you believe that?...the German Army was, for all intents and purposes, destroyed after its defeat by the Russians at Stalingrad...and there is no evidence that Hitler or Germany ever had any interest in conquering England or France until September 1939...much less conquering the US...Hitler's desire for Lebensraum was always focused east...Russia and Poland were always his targets

The message would be that "your desire to having a nuclear weapon is unacceptable," he said.

Mr. President, was it acceptable for Pakistan to have nukes?

Is it acceptable for North Korea to be producing nukes now?

Why is it unacceptable for Iran to have nukes yet radical Pakistan has nukes and lunatic North Korea is producing nukes as we speak?

Can we trust you to do anything about it? You said, "either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists" yet you have given Iran a free ride for three years now, after they hav been ACTIVELY making IEDs and shipping them to Iraq and funding terrorists and funneling terrorists into Iraq.

When does the dog stop barking and start biting?

Germany and USSR were nearly evenly matched before Germany invaded in 1941 - Churchill and others believed the USSR would prevail in a protracted struggle.

The Nazis had a narrow window during which they could have pushed their advantage of surprise and blitzkrieg to beat the Soviets, but their timetable was thrown off -- by Italy's disaster in the Balkans against the Yugoslav, mostly Serbian partisans.

Having to send in the Wehrmacht to rescue Mussolini's delayed their invasion by several precious weeks (and used up reserves that could have pushed towards Iran's oil fields). These weeks ended up crucial as the German advance bogged down when the Russian winter set in, giving the Soviets the breathing space they needed to call in their reinforcements and Zhukov to lead them...

Re your #17 -

One of my pet theories is that Saudi Arabia has a lot of influence on what the US will allow Israel to do and what we won't allow them to do.

There have been a lot of edicts imposed upon Israel that IMHO were not in the best interests of that nation.

Such as not letting them "finish" the 7 days war or ultimately retain much if any of the territory they took from their invaders. And we are constantly intervening on behalf of the "Palistinian State", as well as funding it's terrorism and enriching it's boss terrorists with billions of US taxpayers dollars.

This recent Gaza pullout capitulation fiasco was either the final act of dementia by PM whatzisname before his last unfortunate brain blowout (whereupon he has been religated to the produce department pending assumption of room temprature), or very heavy manipulation by the US Secretary of State, who in turn is being obedient to our Saudi masters.

Should we resist any Saudi desires for us to diddle over our "Allie" Israel at their behest, we'd probably be riding our bikes to work and eating grass within 3 months.

And they know it.

The only way Iran gets whacked is if the Saudis consider Iran to be a threat to their oil fields, as was Saddamn.
Which as far as I know (not much, really) they likely do.
Then they will, as always, let us do the dirty work for them. How many Saudi troops are with the Coallition in Iraq, by the way?

But if Israel really comes under a serious attack, I do not expect us to be allowed to do much about it.
The Saudis will have us by the cahunas and the Chicoms will have us around the neck.

Oh; BTW; I fully expect that said attack will come fairly soon, and end up in a place called Meggido.

And Israel will not be needing us after all.

...Read the Book for details.

No other nation is worth our getting involved in a nuclear exchange. As a nuclear power, Israel can defend itself.

Israel can't do it without our approval.

Exactly (which many seem not to want to understand).

Furthermore nor can Israel do it without our direct support in any Op.

I'm sure this warning will fall on deaf (dead) ears......

Perhaps. But the President also made a point to mention that we demanded the Taliban to turn over binLaden, and when "they didn't think we meant it" they suffered the consequences. I believe he was talking directly to Iran today.
