I Promise to bring you jobs

"No," she replied, "because, you know, I think if we had continued the Clinton economic policies, I believe that there would have been a significant, a greater increase in employment." Hey beast...cut out the revisionist crap. Clinton/Gore/Hillary left office after putting the country into a recession.

Did you ever notice that the media always gives dems credit for trying despite not achieving, then they allow them to get away with lame excuses.
When was the last time GW got any credit for "trying?"

Thats okay. They all went here. 8^)
By unofficial counts here, Florida may already be past NY in population.
Certainly by the next census, we will be in 3rd place behind California and Texas.

She didn't do what she promised but she gets an A from the fawning press.

"Clinton gets an 'A' for effort, but her jobs promise remains unfulfilled"
That headline sums up liberalism: "Judge me not by my results, but rather my (good) intentions."

Blair's note had NOTHING to do with Lockheed getting that contract.
To: Zuben Elgenubi
How about "Hillary's Empty Promises" as a headline.

"She, more than anyone else, has worked to make the upstate economy an issue," said David Shaffer, president of the business-backed Public Policy Institute in Albany. The business community would do better to back a public policy institute which understands that the best thing for your economy is when the government does NOT make it an "issue".

Clinton fell short on her goal for several reasons. For one, the national economy has lagged for most of the decade, meaning that even if upstate matched the nation in job growth, it would have added only 133,500 jobs, not 200,000.She lost 35,000 jobs because of tax cuts for the rich? But if upstate NY followed the national average, the would have added 133,000 jobs? This does not past the smell test... or the Hillary test.

Hillary helps the areas in the state that voted for her husband during his Presidential elections and for her during her last election. She hasn't done a thing for this county (Oneida), which has historically gone Republican over the years. Right now we have a 9.75% sales tax, the highest in the state.
Perhaps she got eBay to head north to train the frozen brains up there how to sell their arts and crafts online because she and Bill had a special arrangement with eBay to sell their White House procurements.

"Hillary has a serious plan to create 200,000 new jobs upstate," an announcer intoned in one of her 2000 campaign ads.
The latest federal figures, though, show that upstate New York shed another 34,800 jobs in the five years between the former first lady's arrival in the Senate and January 2006. Promised Jobs: 200,000
Delivered Jobs: -34,800
Grade from Press: "A"
More proof that the press is run by a bunch of liberal idiots who will do anything to promote the agenda of liberal witches like Hillaroo... including giving her an "A" for job creation where she is on record for a concrete promise and where she has miserably failed to deliver. (Oh, but she made a phone call to eBay!)

Hmm...don't I recall BJ Billy promising 100,000 more cops on the street? One of the more interesting things about these folks is how they do math.
This is, however, a perfect example of what we were screaming about when FR began. The Clintons tell outright lies and the press lies to make them look good. Stain-boy pees down our collective back and the press tells us it's raining. Don't think it won't happen again.
