To sum it up..they passed some laws which protect employers..and a bunch of lazy bums are rioting because they think companies should be forced to hire them.

France is dead meat on the hook - the Republic's days are numbered and coming to an end.
Too bad - they used to be a technology leader 100 years ago.

CNN just cut to breaking coverage of the fire.
They say the police are moving in - just what CNN needs to compete with March Madness on Saturday afternoon.

From what I gathered, the students are rioting because of BETTER job opportunities for them?
Is that the gist of it?
And we are supposed to try to be more like THEM??
(Has anyone gotten Frenchie Kerry's take on this?

The law allows employers to be able to get rid of younger employees. Right now employers are reluctant to hire someone they can't fire.
The French are seriously screwed up.
To: ohioWfan
They are ritoing against a measure that would allow businesses to fire or layoff employees within the firat two years of employment.
No wonder France has double digit unemployment, with their embracing of socialist economics.

I will say one thing in defense of the kids rioting - The French government by it's response to Muslim riots taught those kids that this is what you can do to get what you want.
