We haven't even had the 2006 congressional elections of course theres no front runners other than already well known people. I believe that America is ready for someone who is genuinely conservative, who can articulate his position well. Reagan was on the most popular, and most conservative presidents in the last several decades.

Reagan was an anomaly. His ability to communicate was honed through decades of high profile media work. Plus it was already pretty clear that he was the frontrunner and likely candidate by '78.

At this conjuncture the frontrunners are McCain and Guiliani though I realize a lot of people here don't want that. If the Right pursues its typical course four or five candidates will divide up the minority of far Right votes rather than concentrate its efforts on one person.

The man is no conservative. Ask him how he feels about federalism. Or the 2nd amendment.

Never thought for a moment that he (I assume you mean Rudy) was. Romney's a complete putz, dead wrong on every social issue there is, and a wastrel to boot in terms of spending.

Fact is, there isn't a conservative to be seen in the whole field. Romney v. Hitlery? I'm sitting it out. Rudy v. Hitlery? **might** vote, heavy emphasis on might.
