Durka durka Mohammed Jihad!
Why? Do you know something our troops and our intel don't know?
4,000 what?
You have not seen a true fire-breathing dragon until you've seen Puff (AC-130) hose fire upon an area at night.

Amen to that. Let's hope they wear out those 90mm cannons tonight.
Doesn't mean all 4K are involved. Do you have a link to that figure. I keep seeing reports of 1.5K (combined US and IA)
Is the existing thread, 500+ posts, not sufficient for this news event?
Was this guy really an Army General? On our side? Well then, just what is "actual combat"?
No
Clark is such a stupid bastard.
What some do is append additional stories as posts to the existing main thread.
A regiment, two brigades, and two batallions are already over 4k. The 1,500 is boots on the ground. There are a number of units poised for secondary raids and cordon missions. Not to mention air assets. None of the Iraqi units are air mobile and would be trucked in, in daylight, after the raid began. Fox and DOD reported the 4k operational commitment.
Thanks
At 500 posts it's too big to appreciate the comments. Also the original post lacked operational detail.
Translation: "Operations like this aren't good for the Liberal agenda." "Operations like this are what we need, but don't tell the Democrats I said that." "The real decisive arena is the political arena, and successful strikes like this are politically bad for my side."
Clark was an idiot when he was on our side.
