But as I recall the legislature enacted and the governor signed a bill that completely overturned a law that had been voted on by the people of WA in a referendum. It sounded like a totally illegal move to me, but then the left can do whatever they want and get away with it. I think it was a law stating that tax increases had to be approved by 60% of the legislature rather than a simple majority. The people voted for this and their elected officials just ignored it. Of course you can only blame the people I suppose for not being outraged over this kind of power grab. Late word is a judge just threw out a lot of the taxes Fraudoire and the 'Rats in Olympia passed in defiance of the voter-approved initiative. No doubt the 'Rats and Fraudoire will appeal, but at least one jurist in that vapid wasteland has some guts to uphold the power of the electorate to determine their own destiny. No he's never been a conservative in the first place. You can be a conservative without necessarily being a Republican. And you can be a Republican without being a conservative. No wonder people get confused when a Republican crosses the floor and becomes a Democrat.
