Although you may be right, Jack Ruby doesnt impress me as a man the Mob would have trusted a job like that to. He was a small timer.

Wasn't Scott McClelland's dad convinced that LBJ had JFK killed?

So Sam and Chuck Giancana's book is factual after all, huh?

"Double Cross," (1992 -- Non-fiction Warner Book, paperback. No ISBN number.)

It is established fact that the Mafia tried to take credit for the hit within days of the hit. Braggarts. Whether or not they had anything to do with it, beyond Ruby, is conjecture.

Since Mafia = Teamsters = Democratic Party's second biggest financial supporter, this should be interesting...

Since the documentary talks about the CIA and Mafia, there might be someone else who is a person of interest.

Well actually, they were hoping that LBJ would get rid of Bobby because Bobby went after the very same criminals that were on the side of his father and stole the 1960 election for his brother. In other words, they felt double crossed because the Kennedys used them to take the election then went after them.

JFK was not blowing off Vietnam. That is a recent creation by the likes of Oliver Stone. Throughout Kennedy's term, the number of troops in Vietnam kept rising and he showed no signs of pulling out. He publicly denied that we had any troops there in press conferences, but troop levels went from hundreds under Eisenhower to thousands under Kennedy.

It will be just another conspiracy story with little credibility. This issue has been so completely investigated its becoming ridiculous. It was Ozwald and Ozwald alone. The Warren commission has some holes in it but for the most part they got it right. As far as the mafia is concerned it is well known that a number of the mob went around bragging that " they got Kennedy." This was typical of the braggarts that hoods are. They love to inflate their power and influence. It was just garbage. They simply acted like big shots and claimed that they got Kennedy when in fact they did not. It was Ozwald period.

Joe Kennedy (the father) made his fortune by running liquor and had very tight mob ties. Now supposing JFK gets elected and along with his brother (as attorney general), they direct a war against the mob … but not ALL of the mob, just select families that aren’t part of the mob that helped JFK win the election. The pursued have to battle against the FBI, while their competitor gets larger and more powerful. Just a thought.

I guess the only question now is, did the Mafia use a double for Oswald, Corsican hitmen, E. Howard Hunt, Umbrella Man, the guy behind the picket fence, or the other guy on the triple overpass, or the guy under the man hole cover, or maybe Secret Service agents, either in the front seat or riding behind. Or as it "triangulation of fire"?

In other words, there's a lot more money to be made telling fairy tales instead of the unsettling truth, that an unstable loner like Oswald killed the President of the United States.

Well according to Robert McNamara he is convinced that Kennedy would have never escalated American involvement the way Johnson did. McNamara was a very trusted adviser to Kennedy and I tend to believe him on this issue. Kennedy had repeatedly said in private conversations that the Vietnamese would have to win the war, that the U.S. could not do it for them. He spoke about the will to fight having to come from the native population.
