They've been working on them for years already, I'm sure.

Bush should not HAVE to make the offensive. That's what a PARTY is supposed to do. It is the Party, not Bush that is ineffectual. He has given great speeches over and over yet all I see from GOP congresscritters is the old Yukon stare.

It does not matter any more. America has turned into a Jerry Springer episode. People (the average American sheep) seem more likely to believe a dolt actor than a former active duty Marine Corps Officer that was directly operating on this same issue. I am, and continue to be, crushed on a daily basis that friends of mine are being killed at the hand of an enemy that Americans do not think is real. People ask me time and time again if I think there was a connection; and my answer is always the same. It is an obvious yes. We knew over a decade ago, and know now. The President is right. There is a link between the terrorists and Iraq. There always has been. I wish our lazy short minded country would get behind it's military with something more than a dime store yellow ribbon or bumper sticker and let us actually finish this job. God Damn, that made me sound like my Dad.... when he said the same thing over 30 years ago!

It has been almost SOLEY Bush/Cheney/Condi/Rummy who have defended this war. How about a group of Senators and congressmen call a pro-war, anti-terror presser for a change.

New tagline: Democrats lie and US troops die.

'Rats were so stupid to take the position they did when any iota of evidence would prove them wrong. Of course, they've been dealing with all the iotas of evidence by ignoring them, denying them, and repeating their propaganda more often and more loudly.

I appreciate the sentiments, but unlike the Vietnam war, the people love the troops now. And GOPers and independents alike (not dems, of course) want us to continue smashing the terrorist into the dirt. Liberals are the enemy within, and have been for 40 years. But they do not control our military and the Military is THE most loved institution in the country. Not bad.

In 2003, a lot of us were saying, where is the link between Saddam and bin Laden?

In 2003 a lot of you were babbling incoherently in a coked-out stupor while flying from West to East with your latest skank ho in your fractional Lear complaining about the unwashed causing Global Warming with their SUV's. Come to think of it, same could be said about 2004, 2005, and 2006.

How right you are. Tonight on H&C on Fox, the sickly looking Colmes kept right on with the "Bush lied" mantra, and even Anne Coulter didn't do much to counter it.

You have to wonder why FOX hasn't exposed any of this, plus the transport of WMD to Syria.

"The DNC's mantra that President Bush "misled the nation into war" is losing whatever clout it once had as more and more people become better informed. The massive post-invasion evidence mounts confirming that it was the mainstream media and leading Democrats -- not the Bush Administration -- who lied to the American people on the issue of pre-war ties between Saddam Hussein's regime and al-Qaida terrorists. We now know that during the years before 9/11/01 and the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq, over 8,000 terrorists were trained inside Iraq by the Iraqi military."

So should the new mantra be:
"Democrats lied while people died"?

You say that the military is the most loved institution in the country. Well how about this, the President is the Commander and Chief of the US Military. His support is a bit (to be nice) on the down side. When there is so little support for the Commander it sends a message to us (AKA the troops). Not bashing anyone, just telling you how it is. I am living it.
