It is a replay.
At least Saddam knew how to maintain control over these barbarians
Let us hope the POTUS uses carefully phrased sentences. As of lately he really does seem to have slipped. He is not comfortable before audiences that are not comprised of military. Sadly I have come to this conclusion. He has to appear radiant and confident, hit key points, that perhaps may echo positive. Lets face it he is not a slick willy. He must work at his deliveries with care.
"At least Saddam knew how to maintain control over these barbarians"
Ah. So you think we'd have been better off if we had never gone into Iraq? You think Iraq would be better off? Saddam was the barbarian, if I remember correctly.
We're there helping the Iraqis to form a democratically-based government, which apparently is pulling itself together, albeit slowly. Saddam is on trial for his life.
In the words of our President, "We are not fighting a war against Islam."
Right! He maintained control by cutting off their heads, their arms, or their legs. Wow! What a concept!
Wow. You actually sounds like you wish he was.
And We All are So Much better for that fact. I personally tend to look way past President Bush's speaking mannerism and get to the heart of his words.
Preach it. I'm shocked the number of Freepers who lash against Hollywood and then in the next breath seem to want a slick, cheap, celebrity-type in the WH.
President Bush is a good leader. Too bad so many conservatives constantly bash quality.
He had good delivery today,....another replay at 8 pm ET tonight, 5 pm PDT.
Nothing earthshaking, just doing a solid job of delivering ....
Personally, I am Ashamed, Sick-of & Disgusted with Most Holly-Wierd & Co. celebrities [Paris Hilton makes me wanna chug a quart of castor oil]
I love GW, but he is in a stall and can't seem to get the plane flying again.
He should use his last 2 years to get his federal judge candidates in and get the tax cuts he did made permanent. Plus, he has to keep up the present level of troops and support for Iraq and Afghanistan. The rest of his agenda is down the tubes.
He has to get his people to keep on top of the bureaucracy, CIA and State Dept. as fools there are tossing him problems like the ports deal which hit him like a cream pie in the face.
President Bush said on March 13, 2006
(8th paragraph before end of speech)
"Earlier this year, a newspaper published details of a new anti-IED technology that was being developed. Within five days of the publication -- using details from that article -- the enemy had posted instructions for defeating this new technology on the Internet."
Chris Plant on WMAL 630-AM (Washington D.C. 8-10p.m.) just said that this refers to a Los Angeles Times article from February 12, 2006 titled "Bomb Buster For Iraq Hits Pentagon Snag"
Could a Freeper with more experience than me check and see if this is on FR yet and is getting out on the internet?
Chris Plant says the anti IED program was in development for 10 months and was considered 90% effective against IEDs
Topics:
IED neutralizer secret given to enemy.
Reporting is getting soldiers killed.
US press is aiding enemy.
Publishing national security secrets, when does it become treason?
Funny, nothing about the speech on the news...wierd.
Google turned this up....interesting...
Leftists News Media at work~not newsworthy! he just said we were winning but it wasn't over yet.!
Three car bombs detonate in Sadr City
*******************
Excerpt
The timing of the attacks is suspicious, coming immediately on the heels of the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 6th Iraq Army Division taking over security in Sadr City from U.S. troops. Many residents of Sadr city still look toward Moqtada al-Sadr and his Mehdi militia to provide security and the timing of the attacks certainly isn't going to bolster local opinion of the Iraqi armed forces. That might not be by accident.
Thanks. I want to find out more about this.
