For our friends who can not speak German:

This German quote is saying that German has the lowest reproduction rate. A German woman gives birth to statistical 1.36 kids. This is the lowest number since 1945. A end to this deelopment is obviously not in sight.

I have found something quite intersting too:

....The U.S. birth rate fell to the lowest level since national data have been available, reports the latest Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) birth statistics released today by HHS Secretary Tommy G. Thompson. Secretary Thompson also noted that the rate of teen births fell to a new record low, continuing a decline that began in 1991. The birth rate was 13.9 per 1,000 persons in 2002, a decline of 1 percent from the rate of 14.1 per 1,000 in 2001 and down 17 percent from the recent peak in 1990 (16.7 per 1,000), according to a new CDC report, "Births: Preliminary Data for 2002." The current low birth rate primarily reflects the smaller proportion of women of childbearing age in the U.S. population, as baby boomers age and Americans are living longer....

The US birth rates are also falling in a frightening way -just like everywhere else in the western world-. That means that the proportion of inhabitants between poor and rich countries (the islamiacs and their proportion to Christians is only a troubling side effect) will get more and more out of control.

Since women are those who have the final decision whether they get pregnant or not, society has to find a way to motivate them to do this step again. Since traditional and stable family structures are the best environment for kids the only possible solution is to encourage young people founding young familes again. This will only be possible -espechially in Europe- if we find some completely new definitions, since I doubt that young women will reduce themselves to their traditional role anymore. Not easy. Therefore the French model with its good offerings in childcare is not that bad. It gives women the possibility to work without loosing the possibility of having a family.

Point well taken. In the initial stages of the war in Afghanistan, only Canada and Great Britain truly helped us. I think the world record of the longest range sniper shot is currently held by a Canadain Sniper.

If you are not interested in our support just say it and (please please!) push your politicians to do so. I think that our gouvernment will be really happy to oblige and is going to pull out the troops within a few days. Nobody in Germany or France is keen on having troops in Afghanistan, a country we have for sure nothing to do with. We have better things to do. We wanted to help but... ...if you really think that way it will be indeed better if you guys are doing your job alone. Besides - in this case this NATO-BS should come to an end also. Why should we waste our time on organisations that do not have any meaning anymore?

The times are a changing and we all have to arrange ourselves new each day that God gives.
