Obviously, communism helps develop these capabilities in any country.

Yes, they did a fabulous job in the US.

But in Russia, the talent for subversion has simply blossomed beyond anything else in history.

That talent has been taught, nurtured and improved with their USA spies and counter parts.

When they first worked at subverting the United States, in the 30s, 40s, and 50s, they were detected in many instances. But they learned from their mistakes.

Yes, they learned from their mistakes, but they also had a GREAT DEAL of help from the commies demonRATS in America during that time frame. Remember the demonization of McCarthy.

Thanks for the great insights and comments.

I assume you have already studied this. My "favorite" is #10 since a couple months ago someone actually tried to tell me that it was in our constitution. While I vehemently rejected that claim, I refrained from informing that it was indeed the 10th plank.

Actually, I had never looked at that before, although love seeing the reference posted on the Free Republic.

it's very interesting, first of all, just to read the 10 planks of communism. Secondly, I agree with some of the comparisons to America but not all.

Specifically:

"5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.
The Federal Reserve System, created by the Federal Reserve Act of Congress in 1913, is indeed such a "national bank" and it politically manipulates interest rates and holds a monopoly on legal counterfeiting in the United States. This is exactly what Marx had in mind and completely fulfills this plank, another major socialist objective. Yet, most Americans naively believe the U.S. of A. is far from a Marcxist or socialist nation."

I believe the Fed plays a positive role, or least it can, in limiting inflation. In addition, of course, there's a big difference between the Fed and the banking system of a communist country. We do have private banks.

Nonetheless, all of the points are interesting and worth thinking about.

Absolutely so. Control of the Democratic Party has gradually been taken over (surreptitiously) by the Russians. By now, their control is pretty complete. Consider the recent Democratic presidents and nominees. Jimmy Carter (weakened and humiliated the United States), Bill Clinton (oversaw the selling of secrets to the Chinese, the dismantling of our intelligence system, and the weakening of our armed forces), Al Gore (took illegal campaign contributions from the Chinese, probably just falling under their control via blackmail) John Kerry (head of the Winter Soldier project in the Vietnam era), and the next one, Hillary Clinton, a lifelong Marxist. (In reference to Gore, I see the Chinese and Russians as close allies.)

But even back in the 50s, there were some Democrats who were giving the Russians plenty of help. When I speak of Russian efforts inside United States, I am always referring to a small number of Russian citizens working with a much larger number of American accomplices---surrounded by a vastly larger number of useful idiots.

I hardly mean to imply that there are large numbers of Russian nationals scurrying around America, influencing and undermining our institutions.

Rather, the Russians have set up a structure, in America, in Europe, and to some extent in most of the world, of Leftists who wield a tremendous influence in their societies. I believe the Russians exert a loose control over the Left. That is to say, it is loose on a day-to-day basis. When they need to, the Russians can make specific interventions on the one hand, to get an important specific result, or, on the other hand, exert a broader force and change the direction of the Left in an important way. They carefully limit both kinds of intervention because their primary goal is to escape detection.

However, the biggest influence of the Russians on the Left is the cumulative one they exert over time. Also, it is important to realize that Russia is no longer communist. This frees the KGB, which always ran the worldwide left outside of Russia and now runs Russia too, to pursue a broader goal in the Left. They no longer have to try so hard to push the US toward communism. As long as a part of the Left is pursuing an agenda that contributes to the destruction of American society, that agenda is OK.

Needless to say, nearly everyone thinks this whole idea is kooky.

"Thanks for the great insights and comments."

You're welcome.

The 45 planks listed in your post certainly are occuring, no doubt, but I wonder whether they progress through an act of conscious will or whether they comprise a list of those things which naturally issue forth from societal decay...as if the same institutions would rise and fall over and over should society have the chance to regenerate itself.

Consequently, I wonder, given that our degeneration occurs naturally, if those who support this decay...the godless Marxists...have no idea they contribute as they do to these destructions, and merely walk through life oblivious of the consequences of their actions.

Well, it is natural decay, but since this was written long before the decay has reached this level it seems to me that they helped steer it that way by placing key people in certain areas. The founder of the ACLU was a communist I believe, many of the intellectuals in the universities leaned that way and guided the youth into to this leftist thinking. They spread themselves out into many fields and like yeast began to rise from a small lump to a substantial blob of delusional humanity.

Just another observation. I was in Romania several years ago and was given a few insights by the locals. The old regime is still there. It seems the corruption in the government has stifled their economy. We had a hell of a time getting thru customs, definitely not tourist friendly. Apparently several years ago there were some large riots amongst the minors. It was reported that a union had come against these strikers and they used force. The locals tell me it was actualy the goons from the previous communist admin who enforced the governments will on the masses, the iron fist approach. In other words they are still around. The government is still run by the same beurocrats. I was also in a meeting in Northern Romania in which the townspeople got to speak to a US Ambassador in a town meeting. Their comments were very guarded because they knew if they mis spoke they would suffer the consequences. So you see those supposed liberated countries are not so liberated and they can be quickly quenched.
