shooting thru the door is not a problem...cold wind blowing thru the hole in the door would be...price to replace the blowed up door would be....
Everyone has a bro-in-law that owes them money...call him up and tell him to come over right away and when the cat attacks him, run out and shoot the cat in the head...save b-i-l's life and then he is obligated to repay you!!!
win!! win!!!

Speaking from experience, the most dangerous ones are the ones you never see-until they kill and eat you or some animal you need in order to survive.
Horseback in the Gila Wilderness gets interesting when the cougar is around.

200 grain @ 3000fps leaves a pretty small and rather neat hole. Or, by opening the door 1 inch and immediately pumping a few 3-shot AK bursts - not much risk there, IMHO.

Wonder how he knew the cat was there.

Scary is right. Nightmare scary. I love cats in all shapes in sizes, but cougars/pumas/mountain lions are very scary indeed. They're only 70-100 lbs but they are not afraid of humans and most would hunt down and eat one of us if they were hungry and given the opportunity.
I would be running for my pistol.

"All cats, from your domestic house cat to Lions and Tigers, purr."
Nope. Most of the "big cats" don't purr. Only cats that do not "roar" (lions, tiger, etc.) purr. Mountain lions don't "roar". They are basically big house cats that SCREAM (like a frightened house cat) and 'meow' and 'purr'.

The big animal version of a drive up window? Perhaps he just wanted to dine inside after seeing the fresh catch of the day...

"Boo-yah...boo-yah!"I'd put one right between the runnin' lights and we'd see if it 'tastes like chicken' in the morning. There's no other way. That house is on it's scheduled rounds now.

Breaking my own rule about reading the thread before responding, but had to tell you:
Your title made me think you lived in a border state, a guy who takes illegals across the border was trying to get into your house! Thinking "Now, why is this poster taking pictures? Don't they own a gun!"
Now I've seen the pics.....here kitty kitty! Bang!

Now, that's odd, because I see all the pics. (Odd because you and I have talked about pics before). If you go to the link at the original web site, do you see them?
To: beezdotcom
I can't see any of the pictures, no matter how I try.
Come to think of it, it may have something to do with the new HOSTS file that I installed this week.
