On the Web: To read Davidson Loehr's essay addressing his theories on the Sept. 11 attacks, go to www.propeace .net/node/1076. To read part of the Feb. 12 sermon and Loehr's explanation for removing it, go to http://www.austinuu.org/sermons/2006/2006-02-12-DemonsoftheHeart.html
Just another example of the IDIOTS living in the Berkley of Texas.

John Perkins is a loon. Naturally, C-SPIN played his talk about book endlessly (many, many repeats of that show) a few years back on Book TV.

One thing for certain - time for the IRS to start taxing anything that comes out of the collection plate in this church.

One part of this article makes me think this pastor (??) visits the DUmp on a regular basis.
**But, in order to rally the American public for wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, high-ranking Bush officials executed the Sept. 11 attacks and blamed them on al Qaeda.**
That reads just like some examples of the DUmmie FUnnie threads. This pastor (??) is a loon.

Some church members expressed outrage and concern that Loehr damaged the whole church's credibility. The presence of the sentence above in an article about Unitarians requires that you re-post the article with a non sequitur alert in the headline. Credibility and Unitarianism do not even have a nodding acquaintance.

You're right - this is so far out there that it is hard to believe this guy is even given a pulpit.

Ryan Hill said he doesn't subscribe to Loehr's conspiracy theory, "but the thing that bugs me is, (in) this supposedly liberal church, you express an idea that's sufficiently weird, and people freak out." Truly amazing. I mean, you'd think he was advocating sex with sheep or something. OOPS, forgot: The Unitarians already have a commitment ceremony for that!

I watched Perkins discuss his "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" on C-SPAN. He came across as either stupid or a con-man, but his line would appeal to a liberal Unitarian preacher - who seems to be more interested in the economics of hydrocarbons than in theology.

Unitarian = liberal feel-good social meeting. NOT a religion, contrary to mainstream press.

I think he should have the right to preach crazy jeremiads even on political matters.
OTOH, someone should ask him what he thinks about the IRS investigating conservative ministers who mention politics from the pulpit.

What can one expect from a church whose foundation in America is dated from 1815 and the departure of 120 New England Congregational churches who chose to follow the Arian Heresy?

Unitarianism is predicated on the belief that there is, at most, one God.

if God is infinite, it seems to me that trying to count "how many" He is, would be doomed to failure.
it's sort of like trying to decide if he is a million miles tall or two million miles tall.

I think that interview has been played on "BookTV" (C-Span2, weekends)
at least twice this year.

Doesn't everyone know the Unitarian Church is just the loony left at prayer? Why the surprise?

Ryan Hill said,..."but the thing that bugs me is, (in) this supposedly liberal church, you express an idea that's sufficiently weird, and people freak out." "Yeeeaah maaaan, like when I'm smokin' a reefer in the church's bathroom, people, like, freak out... because I don't have enough to share..."
So much for the congregants of THAT "church."

Actually, from what I have seen of the Unitarians and liberals in general is that you can have as many or as few gods AS YOU WISH. They just can't be named Yahweh!
