I wish I weren't restricted to the house and could be down at the Peabody this weekend. That may be the most frustrating thing about this surgery!

He is kissing up to become the 2008 nominee. It's a little too obvious.

McCain is downright scary. Wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him

What I find interesting about these articles is the name that is missing. That is Bill Frist. Does this mean is def not running. I mean its in Tenn and all so he should have supporters there if he was serious about making a run

He is hoping to be picked as VP if Cheney resigns for whatever reason. That would make him the favorite for the 2008 nomination.

Phsstpok the Pak, is that not a character from Larry Niven's
THE PROTECTOR ?
To: Phsstpok
Because Bush is a McCain cheerleader.

Phsstpok the Pak, is that not a character from Larry Niven's
THE PROTECTOR ?Ayep, that's where I took the moniker from.
Now try to figure out the layers of meaning in choosing that as a handle. It's both egotistical and self deprecating. On top of that I have had the privilage of discussing the character (and his scientific screw ups with the character) with Larry Niven, one of my favorite authors.

I've changed my mind on McCain - I think he would have been a much better option than Bush. I think the primaries will be a three person race - jeb, john , and condi. I hope all three run as I am starting to like all three. The challenge for Jeb and Condi will be to overcome the constant gaffes coming out of the white-house lately.

Has McCain EVER done anything that wasn't self-interest?

OK, that looks like a Allen/Rice ticket would work.
