The oldest Gen Xers are now 40 somethings! ;)
Yep, that's right. All those Beemer driving coke snorters during the 1980s were Baby Boomers. Whereas, during the 80s, I was a spiky haired punker drinking beer. Of course I outgrew that (the beer, that is, although I still drink one once in a while). In essence, I am more like people who came of age during the early 1950s than I am like people who came of age during the 1970s.
Look at any statistics on things like drug use, divorce, or any other sorts of indicators. Look also at who burned their draft cards. When the selective service was revived by Reagan, my generation largely went along with it an quietly registered without any issues. Our "vocal minority" was probably 1 - 2% whereas the Boomers' was at least 10%, probably more like 20 to 25% The saddest thing is, that vocal 1960s radical minority have contaminated the minds of Gen's Y and especially Z, due to the Boomers utter control of education and the media.
Whatever, most of those BMW driving coke snorters grew up too. Some of them are very important powerful people today. You only drank beer so you are far superior to anyone who ever fooled around with drugs. Fine.

Consider the impacts of that on decision making ability and mental stability. Then look at some of the problems and issues which have cropped up over the past 10 years. Do you trust the key decisionmakers? I don't.
