The announcement was delayed so the Democrats can register whatever it is to vote. The DNC has already filed complaints that Bush is gerrymandering the planetary voting districts. The NAACP is protesting that Bush is creating another minority.

Whatever it is, ten old groups and six yet-to-be-formed groups will be bitchin' their heads off nine minutes after NASA's announcement.

NASA is planning to make a huge announcement today, about possible life in our own solar system.

I thought they were going to announce that NASA was selling it's space ports to Iran.

My guess:

Alien life exists, and they're already living here on earth - on a small farm in New Jersey. Also, contrary to popular opinion, Helen Thomas is not in fact an alien.

Their announcement will be how they will spend a fortune in taxpayers money over the next several years.

Could be... There have been plenty of recent news articles about budget consolidation and dropped projects at NASA...

Zippo on all the majors? If it's a "big" announcement one would think someone would have a blurb about it. Or is this just "drudge-big?"

Maybe the Mars Reconnaisance Orbiter saw something.

It's scheduled to enter Mars orbit tomorrow.

Remember always follow the money trail. NASA and our space program are dying and NASA needs something to encourage more funding.
