So with this in mind, why would I trust science to explain creation.

Should I take this to mean that you reject all scientific inquiry?

"Should I take this to mean that you reject all scientific inquiry?"

No, that's not what I said.

This whole thread is about the evolution/creation debate, that is what I am referring to.

Science relies on converging paths of knowledge and evolution is definitely part of that framework. The "evolution/creation debate" as you put it would be more accurately described as the "reason/faith debate."

I disagree.

...reason/faith debate.....sounds like those of us with faith have no reasoning capability and vice versa.....

That's not what I meant at all. I simply meant that whether you are willing to accept it or not, evolution and science in general is well reasoned. If you are willing to ignore or reject that evidence then you are putting your stock in faith instead of evidence.

I disagree that evolution is well reasoned.

I will always reject the idea that we evolved from apes.

Will you always reject the idea that humans and apes shared a common ancestor hundreds of thousands of years ago? Sharing a primate ancestor in the unimaginably distant past does not make you or anyone in history less human. I think it is a really cool idea that whether by God or by chance a species was able to evolve to the point that it can actually ask and answer questions about the nature of the universe.

Why?

Here's one for you. So who made this discovery 11 million years ago? What was the scientist's name?

You have left the realm of science far behind when you speak like that.

What are the facts? Again and again and again - what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore divine revelation, forget what 'the stars foretell,' avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable 'verdict of history' - what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue. Get the facts!
