I was trying to look at it from a "moderate muslim" perspective, but you are correct.
The question is, where are these people who want to do the right thing and why are there so few of them? Maybe because they don't see standing up to this as the right thing? I don't know.

I have felt since the first attacks on our troops in Iraq, that we should turn EVERY area that attacks Americans into a glassed over parking lot. They fight us from any area, the area is no longer there. After enough parking lots, they'll eventually get the idea, that they need to co-operate...if not out of respect, from fear, that will work for me. Endangering our troops and civil workers to help out people who want to see us all dead is NOT the plan I would have used.....Maybe it's a good thing I wasn't in charge. My mom raised me, telling me to avoid a fight if I could, if not, go in and do as much damage in as short a time possible and they will never bother you again. It has worked for me over the years. If we are at war, lets act like it and not be rebuilding anything!

On this part you still remain naive and ignorant. We're fighting a war on terror in the middle of the Islamic world. Right in the Muslim homeland. From reports over the last several yaers, half the Islamic world hates America and wants us all to die. The other half isn't thrilled with us either. If there is even 10% of the Islamic world who fall into the catagory of radical fundamentalists, jihadists and islamofascists, that equates to 120,000,000 warriors ready to die for Allah and Mohammad.
How long do you think its gonna take for America and western civilization to kill 120 million religious warriors? 10 years? 25 years? 50 years? 100 years? How about 300 years? Think about it.
I think we should embody the philosophy President Reagan employed in winning the Cold War, dismantling the Soviet Empire and the Euro-communist Eastern Bloc, freeing 500 million people from totalitarian rule.
