While the Republic of Texas might have been of some use in 1840 it is no more.
So the brave men in Iraq who are fighting alongside us and dying every day cannot practice their religion because some lamebrains thing they shouldn't?

Otherwise, the "free exercise" clause is a stickler. I think it was a mistake, myself. It should have enshrined the toleration of religions that recognize the natural law, which means most religions, except for Islam.
The law already imposes reasonable restraints on freedom of speech (e.g., yelling "fire!" in a crowded theater in not protected speech).
Imposing the same kind of restraints on a pack of murderous fanatics would also be considered reasonable.
Or do you believe we need to apply the rules of political correctness here?
For example: Satanists shouldn’t be illegal but human sacrifice is murder thus the action is illegal.
Well then, just stay tuned. We now have a Constitution that has been interpreted to be a rather elastic, evolving and living document. Witness the newest designer laws involving "hate crimes". Coming up on its heels is something called "hate speech".
Tell me again how iron clad and guaranteed our First Amendment rights are.

In other words, you are OK with defending our country so long as it doesn't infringe upon the "free speech" of the Islamic maniacs who want to murder all infidels.
We wouldn't want to interfere with your desire to protect and defend the First Amendment. Unfortunately, that horse is long out of the barn and down the road.
We are losing this war against the Muslims at present, in Iraq and Afghanistan we are winning but over all we are losing. If things keep going as they are we will be signing that declaration of war, but I hope not.

Ok, this all turned out to be a hoax. Apparently, Jens Rohde misquoted the information he got from the meeting he attended. Scroll down for the latest. I will post an analysis of who I think have been incorrect later. So far, the actual facts of the story are as follows:
Four weeks ago, 6-8 Moslem girls showed up at the school of the daughter of one of the cartoonists, asking for "the daughter of the cartoonist who had insulted their prophet". They were turned away at the door.
Appears to be a misunderstanding.
This is where we differ. You want to wait until we suffer another attack before doing anything while I believe in a preemptive strike (before anything further happens) against the fanatics who have already made their intentions quite clear and demonstrate that commitment every day.

What is happening is that Americans die to protect the Constitution and islam is using the Constitution to destroy the US. Islam will keep pointing to the rights granted by the Constitution to legitimize their practices (pushing the envelope by crying "discrimination") until it reaches the point where there is a muslim majority, at which point sharia law will take the place of the Constitution. From that point onward, the decimation of every real religion will undergo a geometric progression. Think this is paranoia? Just take a look at every muslim majority country on the face of the earth. It has happened in every case and is happening now in many areas of the world. Pull your head out of the sand or you won't see the scimitar before it decapitates you.

Kind of odd that muslim girls from another school, come looking for you? Maybe ask you to go out in the parking lot. Near a van. A van with men that the little kid doesn't see.
Could be. Or, it could be just obnoxious girls, with an Islamic twist.
Is it the right response? I am not positive, but it is logical.
During WWII we fought everyone that was against us at the same time, for a win or lose game. If we fought everyone that was against us at the same time it makes it nearly impossible for countries to help insurgents like we have with Iran and Syria.
Personally if it were possible I would rather take on our enemies one at a time, rather then one big bit.
There is an important factor that we would like to over look but we cannot. Our enemies are very good playing too our media, during the war in Kosovo they proven themselves to be masters of our media. They given counter intelligence with regard to WMD’s and our media bought it hook line and sinker. The Cartoons again have proven who are masters of our media. Our enemies have manipulated and scared our media and some of our politicians to be their servant as a result our people are not united in this war.
One thing that is very important to understand, we could not and can not fight a total war without the full support of the people.
Another thing that important that we don’t seem to have yet. Russia, China and India are just as much into this war if not more so then we are yet we do not have their full allegiance. Partly is because we keep stabbing them in the back such as with Kosovo and Sudan, wars that we were on the wrong side.
In other words our people and our government are not fully committed to this war yet. It was only after 911 have we been allied with whom we should be allied with and even then they don’t trust us as a result of our previous actions against them.
Untell we can some how get our media back on our side, a limited war is the only logical way to go,
You are right. at our present course and with the media against us islam will win this war against us.
