I don't think so.

I mean, of course, the rantings of this particular guy; they are likely to see that he is just a blowhard.
What makes you think they get these opinions from the schools? It may be reinforced by the schools but they get it from the youth culture. Virtually every one of the youth icons spouts this stuff. Just consider the Academy Awards nominations for best picture. Probably that is how this teacher originally arrived at his opinions, long before he went to college to pick up this line of patter. Good "conservative" parents let their kids buy this junk so that they will "fit in" with the other kids.

(II) A violation of any law of this state, any municipality of this state, or the United States involving the illegal sale of controlled substances, as defined in section 12-22-303 (7), C.R.S.

That oughta be a fun read.

Well, he's lawyered up, unioned up and probably toked up.

He may be lawyered up and toked up, but from what I heard from the Denver media, he's not part of the teacher's union.

That's not the way things work in most homeschooling communities.

We do not watch television. Instead, we listen to good music, talk, and socialize with other homeschooling families.

It is expected that our children treat each other with respect and know how to get along with all age groups (from babies to senior citizens).

If you haven't been around homeschooling families then maybe you should see if there are any in your geographical area. You might be in for a surprise in what you see.

Given that even church-sponsored schools give in to such trendiness, I must agree that this is the reason why homoe schooling has increased so quickly. School officials often lie about their standards of morality and their desire to
guard students against unwholesome influences. If they enroll their children in a Catholic school, they should come armed with a list of traditional doctrinal statements and require the principal to sign off on each. If they won't do this, you probably are dealing with liberals, not Catholics.

The children at most religious private schools that I have seen are as bad (and sometimes worse) than their public school counterparts.

To return to the main point, I read w the following In the WSJ today: [Professor Harvey Mansfield] "What you see today at Harvard and elsewhere are a lot of liberal males who are trying to make women happy by trying to treat them as if they weren't women." "And that," says the man who never misses the chance to open a door for a woman or help her put on her coat, "doesn't work very well." So why didn't he simply write a book on gentlemanliness? "Because before you're a gentleman, you have to be a man. Gentlemanliness is a refinement. It presupposes that you have a certain superiority over women, but teaches you how to exercise it. It also teaches you that women are superior in their ways."

Nine years ago, when Mr. Mansfield offered his first seminar on manliness, I barely managed to score a seat in the small classroom. So many campus feminists had crowded in that students were forced to sit on the floor. These women saw their opportunity, finally, to have it out with the conservative bogeyman.

But Mr. Mansfield got the best of them. He proceeded to talk for much of the next two hours about the ancient Greek notion of thumos, or spiritedness, an idea he believes is the precursor of modern-day manliness. The feminists were bored silly--almost none returned the following week.

Despite his statements outside the classroom, Mr. Mansfield sees his role of professor very differently from that of provocateur. His classes rarely descend into debates over current affairs. Arguments from Plato may not convince these "educated women" that he is right, but unlike Larry Summers, Mr. Mansfield has tenure.

Which is the reason for tenure law : to allow scholars to give scholarly opinions: not to guarantee them the right to preach their political, social or religious opinions.

Figures they'd end up with the same lawyer, probably some arrogant ACLU twit who doesn't know squat about anything that matters.

I was already thinking that Jay Bennish and Ward Churchill have a great deal in common, they're both obvious incompetent morons who rant and rave about left-wing nonsense on issues they don't begin to understand when they could do the world a big favor by retiring to the nearest hippie commune.

I got 'em all easily!! .....but I would bet big bucks that a majority of the students of Jay Bennish, maybe the large majority, would bomb that test. It would be interesting to know a lot more about what he has been "teaching" i.e. propagandizing for all those hours that he gets paid by the taxpayer to teach geography.

Oh yes, he's an ACLU lawyer; pompous beyond belief, and smarmy to boot.

Your last paragraph is spot on.
