He also said there were "eerie similarities" between what Bush said during his Jan. 28 State of the Union address and "things that Adolf Hitler used to say."
but no one ever looks at the similarities between the gun control act of 1968 and the 1938 weapons law from nazi germany.
also, isn't there a rule that whoever brings up hitler in a debate first always loses?

Look that up! It's an important part of UNITED STATES history :) LOL! Yeah, like Tucker's 1803 Blackstone's Commentaries and the Federalist and anti-Federalist Papers weren't enough!

Just received confirmation that student Sean Allen will be on the Sean Hannity radio show this afternoon at 4pm ET and probably on Hannity & Colmes later tonight.

I had a high school Government class teacher who came right out and endorsed Marxism and Communism in the classroom on frequesnt occasions.
my governmnet teacher wasn't any fun. he had this odd opinion that reagan was a bit too conservative for his liking. on the plus side, we got to listen to rush in class, and also bash clinton :)

Hannity asks students to tape left wing profs, this is right up his ally
To: 1Old Pro
Hannity has been encouraging students for some time to tape their teachers and professors. I was impressed by the clarity of the recording using MP3.
If the technology is that good, there should be hundreds of recordings taken in the classrooms.

needless to say the LW DUmmies are calling the student, a nazi, an informer, a brown shirt Wow, I also caught a rare defender of the US in there over our WWII atomic bomb use, and there were actually a few level heads there, including one self-proclaimed ultra leftie who says this in school is wrong.

Progressive just means to change, not necessarily to change for the better. That's some seriously good tag line material.

What is the movie? 'Real Genius'? Yep. You win the prize!

"It should be said that the state of the union has nothing to do with geography. When teachers substitute thier judgement for the approved curriculum you get kids graduating who don't know anything. One thing many don't know is geography, and the public complains about that."
This reminds me of the Jay Leno show when he quizzes different people on different sociopolitical issues and turns it into a whole joke.

On 9news, they interviewed one of our neighbors that goes to that highschool. She said in the interview 3/4 of the teachers in that school say the same things. I don't know if she was exaggerating or not--I'll have to ask her. Overland was once considered a good school because it was in the "Cherry Creek School District".

That's some seriously good tag line material. The word preducator added to the FReeper lexicon, and now a tagline.
Watch out, world... I'm on a roll.

All public school classes should be recorded and then all tapes should be freely available publically. This will insure that teachers maintain the trust placed in them by parents.A perfect solution. It even could be sold as a way to prevent teachers from erroneously being accused of doing this. Since the public schools are funded by the public, the class sessions should be available to the paying public. All classes should be taped and archived for at least one month.

isn't there a rule that whoever brings up hitler in a debate first always loses? Godwin's law, but it's not absolute. It really depends on whether you're trying to use the logical fallacies "appeal to emotion" or ad hominem. Sometimes a Hitler reference is apt, but before you do it you have to sit back and ask yourself about your motives in using it.
This guy was clearly trying to demonize Bush, going for both fallacies, so the law would apply.
I admit I use it sometimes. "Smoking Nazis" is one case. It is a reference to the first modern anti-smoking campaign with attendant propaganda that the current campaign closely follows -- almost every point is mirrored. My intention is that the anti-smoking campaign is leading us closer to a totalitarian state where individual rights are not valued and government power is supreme, and I believe it is valid to use Nazis (a shining example of such a state) with this context and intent.

Why these terrorists think we are a nation of cowards is beyond me. They are avid viewers of CNN, and some of them are probably on the DNC fax list.

That teacher must be a blessing for anybody who doesn't want to bother with studying....
1. What is the capital of Nebraska?
Who cares when it's being destroyed by the evil Bush regime?
2. What is the term for a small river that flows into a larger river?
All the rivers in the country are being poisoned with aresenic by Chimpus Khan and his minions!
etc. for an easy A+

This SOB should be dangling from a rope. This country hasn't enforced its trason laws for a long, long time. It's about time to start. And this guy would be a good place to begin. After that, Ward Churchill would be another good candidate.

Can somebody explain to me why there should be 2 sides to a geography lesson? Geography is a pretty big field that encompasses political and social issues. Where the lines are drawn on the map is definitely political.
IIRC, physical geology (where the continents and oceans are, etc.) was a very small part of my high school geography class.
