First off, there is no proof the IRA had any part in this. It appears it was two groups of hooligans from the north who couldn't wait for July to resume their feud.
Secondly, it sounds like both sides could have done this in Belfast or Londonderry and saved a lot of time and money.

Sometimes people get tired on being sh!t on. It happens from time to time throughout the world. Signers of the Declaration of Independence thought so here.

You do realise that you are belittling your own patriots by regarding this riot as the same, six members of our police force was injured in the riot.

You are getting yourself very worked up.
The Orangemen knew there would be a reaction just like there is every July when these morons march through Catholic neighborhoods banging their drums looking for trouble.
Unlike Northern Ireland, the Irish Republic has been very tolerant of non-Catholics. In fact, the Lord Mayor of Dublin was a Jew for many years.
Sounds like you're more Thatcherite than Irish. Irish Thatcherite couldn't be the screen name for the "Reverend" Ian Paisley, could it???

Funny how you blame a peaceful march, rather than a riot.
And BTW I am an Irish Catholic living in southern Ireland, I choose 'Thatcherite' in my screenname because I agree with Thatcher's economic policy, and she fought against the IRA. And remember that she was a staunch ally of Reagan!!

i'll prolly get a rap in the mouth for this, but...
this whole Marching Season stuff seems a bit Nay NayNay NayNay Nay in your face nonsense anyway.
it's kinda like if Yankee's INSISTED that they march through Atlanta every year!!!
they'd get the same welcome... and rightly so.

As I posted, people are known to get 'uppity' when they are sh!t on - so I'm sure you want them kept in their place.

I don't dispute then Thatcher is a fine lady and was one of the great leaders of the free world.
You can't deny, however, that the Orangemen knew there would be a disturbance just like there is every July 12 when they march through Catholic areas looking for trouble. I am not trying to justify the actions of either side. But, when you go looking for trouble, you usually find it.
The Irish Republic is and has always been more tolerant than Northern Ireland, much of which was seeded to riffraff the English wanted to get rid of.
I'm glad the members of the original IRA didn't share your views or they would be singing "God Save the Queen" and bowing to Prince Floppy Ears in Dublin.

Of course I want a terrorist group kept in their place, a six-foot deep hole in ground, preferably.
And the overwhelming majority of Irish people think the same way about those scumbags!!
