Yep, in there as:
Abu Anas al-Iraqi - Explosives expert - At Large - $50,000
makes you wonder how we get intel on people like this
Sadly. No. LOL!
cool
I hope someone collects that reward and lives to enjoy it.
Yeah. It's amazing how we can gather intel like that. They must have done some forensic tests or something after the bombings to gather fingerprint evidence or something.
That'd be cool if it was an Iraqi fighter who bagged this dude. His morale must be shooting through the roof.
Lets hope more are given up.
Sorry, the guy from the FBI most wanted link is not the guy that was killed as reported today.
Crap. Unfortunately some of the names are difficult to tell apart.
You knwo what, I didnt think it was. Al libby wasnt he caught before or something? I remember hearing his name a year ago so something. Libby I remember that.
He isn't? According to several news links I came across while searching out where in the heirarchy he was in the AQ structure, they all said he was on the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist List.
We want Zarquwi or whatever his name is!
His name must be the equivalent of John Smith in the Arab world. LOL
Don't think so. Those names are confusing.
In fact, some time ago there was an al-libby taken out and there was a lot of confusion about the identity. He was a biggy, but lots of "pundits" tried to make a big deal about mistaken identity as I recall.
Frankly, I'm a bit fuzzy on my recollection there, and I just don't have the time right now to go back and research this thing. I think the confusion now is the part of the name "Abu Anas."
Dog, help us out here if you can remember the confusion over al-Libby from a while back.
Nevertheless, a big guy in AQI gets taken out and we all can be happy.
Wrong guy...
Yeah, you're right, it suddenly occured to me that we did take out an al-Libby or however it's spelled during one of our larger raids like a year or two ago. I thnk it was right around the time when our forces were chasing Al-Sadr in one part of the country and tracking Al-Zarqawi in another part of the country.
Abu Faraj al-Libbi? The 05/02/05 "Burqa bust"?
