free trade has nothing to do with CFIUS. acquiring US assets, especially those that have a national security or critical infrastructure component to them, is not "free trade".
how many deals did CFIUS deny? what the hell good is an agency that provides oversight, and denies almost no applications. they might as well just use a rubber stamp.

Nope. This deal is done. The opposition to it is crumbling. The Republicans in Congress will be able to use the 45 day for cover, and allow the deal to go through.
