I consider the Democrats a bigger threat to this nation. They're already here.

So are the muslims. And they are buying our country and using PC crap in the schools. They don't need to attack. They'll take over from within.

Is your point that we should raise our standards at the airports (I would agree with that) or that we should lower our standards elsewhere (I would disagree with that).

None of the 9/11 hijackers came from England, nor do they support al-Quada. Two of the 9/11 hijackers were from the United Arab Emirates and they both supported and gave safe haven to these bastards. That's all I'm saying, that Hastert is right in calling for further investigation into this.

I remember the old days when most all of the people here put there country before deceptive political and economic double talk.

Wish I'd been here for that...

Other captured combatants fighting the U.S. (ie. terrorists) have come from England. The very same England that is currently in the process of turning over commercial ports operations to DP World also.

Yes, we are sheeple because some of us can actually tell the difference between a good Muslim and a bad Muslim, and because we are more willing to give the President of the United States the benefit of the doubt than we are Chuck Schumer and the Longshoreman's Union which is run by his wife.

"Why would our enemies go to so much trouble to infiltrate a UAE company when there are Saudi concerns already performing the same operations here in the U.S.?"

It's a sad state of affairs all around isn't it? Money trumps national security, we are being sold out for a price.

Anyway, if al Queada has infiltrated our shipping ports through Saudi links and someone in the WH thinks that's a fair reason to let more of their spies in through the UAE, then we're probably standing in deeper doodoo than I thought. Maybe it's time to get out the life rafts instead of debating this insane deal.

So by your reasoning, it's alright to kill over 200 US marines, as long as it's done on foreign soil in a sneak attack?

No it is not alright; but, it is an accepted act of war and part of the risk of being in the front lines on active duty. You go to war you prepare for the worse and you accept the risk; the people who were enjoying their coffee and bagels at the WTC 9/11 were not given that choice.

Chuckie will take whatever side of a position he can best exploit for Chuckie

He'd take the position of a distressed turd, if it smelled strong enough.

Good post. I don't know why anyone would be swayed by members of the executive branch or military coming forward to parrot their support for the Commander in Chief. What else are they going to do-----call him a bozo and get fired?

I totally agree further investigation and public hearings are required. However, the Dems intend to drive this as a GOP wedge issue prior to the fall elections.... Either way Conservatives need to get on the same sheet regarding this issue.

"ha-ha. people are definitely getting their marching orders on this one. They are so confused. I love the "people are finally starting to get the facts and come around on this one" line."

So you enjoy seeing the hearts and minds of Americans turned to stone and takin over by deceptive "facts". The British have done it so the Arabs should be able to do it too. When the real fact is that the British should never have been alowed to do it either. Convincing people that those who control the port are "Checked" by some sort of American watchful eye. Ha HA...They don't even have to keep records at the port. Who do you think is going to be in the hiring base of the future at these ports....Americans? Wake up. You don't have much more time to do so.

Despite which group has been hyping this issue for their own particular benefit, the underlying (security) concern IS resonating among the populace -- who often seem to "get it" while the ruling elite are off scheming and spinning.

Thanks for your well-stated post.

...Isn't this how despots come to power, through blind allegiance, no fellow party members daring to point out what they percieve as a big mistake? ...

Precisely.

Sad state of affairs?

To use the same company that provides the same services directly for our U.S. Navy? For a company that is extremely efficient?

But the law wasn't followed

Seems like a damn good reason for some Congressional hearings to me.

Maybe the city's can take the port land via eminant domain and build a Mcdonalds there. We already have the USSC on our side.
