Port Authority: We're suing to stop sale to Dubai firm

NEW YORK -- The Port Authority said Thursday it will file suit to block a Dubai-based firm from taking over operations at a Port Newark container terminal, saying the federal government has not given them assurances about security issues.

Based on the following replies from you, I'm going to respond as kindly as I can, all things considering.

"Based on your responses, I am betting you are either profitting from the the selling out of America or you are a government employee."

You must not gamble a lot or you like to try to put people into nice little boxes in your world so that it does not confuse you too much. I'm trying to decide if you are insulting because you know you're wrong and can't admit it or if you genuinely are this ignorant of what goes on around you. Anyone who disagrees with you on this is "selling out America"? That is a far stretch. A government employee? Sorry to disappoint you, but I hold a Masters degree and happen to be a very successful consultant in the IT field. I won't bore you with details, but let's say that I probably pay more in taxes than you make in a year.

Again, not germaine to the argument. More obfuscation because you know you don't have a leg to stand on. Does it make my argument any less winning because I didn't serve in uniform? That is rather a shallow attempt at painting me into a corner, very sophomoric and it let's me know your "vast" debating skills.

I would try to educate you, but that attempt would be wasted as you're long past educating. You have knee jerk reactions and like them because they make you feel good. You feel like you're doing something, but you're not. You're retarding American growth and this ports deal will come back and bite us on the ass, but you won't care. You will be able to puff out your chest and pull up your sagging pants and know in your little heart that you "saved" America from all those nasty little foreigners that you don't think belong in America. So you tell that to the thousands of American workers who are employed by those "Nasty foreigners" and see where that gets you.

You are a funny person. I know people like you. You have your little version of the world and you know in your tiny little heart that you are always correct about it. When someone comes along and disturbs your world view, you panic. You immediately have to fit them into your view, no matter if they don't fit, they must because if they don't, then there might be the chance that you're wrong, and you can't have that.

Think what you might about me, it really doesn't matter what you think about me. I know the truth because I live in the real world, a business dominated world. I'll let you in on a little secret....the US has some companies that run port terminals in other countries...wonder what would happen to these businesses if other countries decided to retaliate? What if it trickled on down to other businesses? But what do you care? It might not be your job on the line, so what do you care if a few thousand people lose their jobs as long as you have your comfy cozy world view about them nasty little foreigners who are "invading" your country. Well I have news for you Bubba, this country's economy depends a lot on foreigners, those that buy our products, those that sell to us the products we love, and those dreaded little foreigners that buy our debt and keep this country floating.

So get those idiotic little rosy glasses off of your face and look at the real world for once in your life.
