Just as Kennedy began speaking, Trost was walking out of the room when he shouted, "Remember Chappaquiddick!"

BAWAHHHHHH!!! I would have paid good money to see the look on Kennedy's face!

"Can't you forgive him after all these years."

Yeah, just like libs forgive conservative politicians for their youthful indiscretions. And, of course, no conservative speaker has ever been shouted down on a college campus. Never. I'm wondering if any student at this school has ever before shouted anything at a speaker, and if the student was disciplined. Just wondering.

"Remember Chappaquiddick!"

Kennedy survived Chappaquiddick politically in large measure due to the fact his two older brothers had died tragically at the hand of assassins ... Robert in June 1968 and JFK in November 1963. The Chappaquiddick incident occurred July 1969, people, particularly in MA, tended to be in a forgiving mood as the death of Ted's two older brothers were fresh in people's minds. However, and rightfully so, Kennedy has to live with the legacy of essentially killing a young women thru irresponsible and negligent behavior ...

If this had been a liberal protestor nothing would have happened to him and the college would have chalked it up to free speech. Liberals are all about double standards.

How ironic that campus activism started out as a "Free Speech" movement at Berkeley in the early 60's. The Left doesn't want free speech, they want control.

Trost said he was satisfied to know that students on campus were talking about the Chappaquiddick incident later in the day – some of whom, in fact, were not familiar with it.

Thank you MSM....

Kudos to this kid! I can't believe they sent the cops after him and threatened to discipline him. What about all the foulmouthed students who heckle conservative speakers, and nothing is done? What about the filthy lesbian Vagina Momologues being enacted on campuses everywhere?

Is free speech a right exclusively assigned to the Left?

I'd rather go hunting with Dick Cheney than EVER get in a car with Ted Kennedy.

Funny, the police stop him for yelling at Teddy the Whale, but when the libbys disrupt Ann Coulter at UCONN, not a damn thing is said...double standard, maybe?

Nice work, Trost! The fact that his words made a bunch of students go learn about the event proves he was successful.

Good job!

Uh, oh. He's been ticketed for protesting while conservative. Doesn't he know the First Amendment and campus diversity and inclusion programs don't apply to conservatives???

His passenger, Mary Jo Kopechne, was killed after the car landed upside down in the water.

The reporter appears to be trying to imply that Kopechne was "killed" by the crash. Instead, according to a diver who recovered her body, she probably died from suffocation after several hours of desperately trying to stay alive in an air pocket.

IOW, Mary Jo probably would've lived, had Teddy alerted police immediately.

No autopsy was ever performed to determine her exact cause of death.

Now why was that? Could it be the Kennedys paid off the Kopechne family to refuse an autopsy?

He came under fire for not reporting the incident to authorities until the next morning. In the interim he reportedly made an effort to call a family legal adviser.

AND, in the interim, Teddy tried to persuade his cousin Joseph Gargan to be the fall guy and tell police that Gargan had been driving the Olds. This is according to Gargan himself.

campus police officer went outside and stopped him. He also saw some state troopers go outside, the type who accompany Kennedy around
