As you likely know, The General was a consistent churchgoer. I have attended Mass in three churches that he attended fairly often: Christ Church, Alexandria; Christ Church, Philadelphia and St. Paul's Chapel, NYC. While Martha took communion, The General never did.
I look forward to attending Mass at Pohick Church where he was a vestryman.

Deism didn't go extinct. There are more today than in Washington's time. Many are the descendents of those early American Deists. Organizations are popping up all over the place. Some of them are just jerks using the Deist name to attack Christianity.
