Sasha is in first place after the short program. She did a beautiful job.
All three Americans are in the top 7. I think that means they will all get a chance to compete for the gold.

My dad had a car just like that - or maybe it was a '56, only it was powder blue and white "two toned". Or, it could have been a Ford. Anyway, I was just a kid, but that was back when you passed a car on the road you knew exactly what make and year it was.

A travel agent looked up from his desk to see an older lady and an older gentleman peering in the shop window at the posters showing the glamorous destinations around the world. The agent had had a good week and the dejected couple looking in the window gave him a rare feeling of generosity.
He called them into his shop and said, "I know that on your pension you could never hope to have a holiday, so I am sending you off to a fabulous resort at my expense, and I won't take no for an answer."
He took them inside and asked his secretary to write two flight tickets and book a room in a five star hotel. They, as can be expected, gladly accepted, and were on their way.
About a month later the little lady came in to his shop. "And how did you like your holiday?" he asked eagerly.
"The flight was exciting and the room was lovely," she said. "I've come to thank you. But, one thing puzzled me. Who was that old guy I had to share the room with?"

I think it is a '55 Chevy but I'm not positive.
At one time, cars had their own personality. Now they look like the same cookie cutter was used for all of them.

Oh, these competitions tonight weren't for medals? See, you can tell I haven't been watching very closely. Do they have to do a long program now? Glad to hear Sasha is in first place at this point. I didn't see her skate. Guess I should watch more closely, then I'd know what is going on.

Happy Wednesday, NnB.
Thank you for always being there with an appropriate poem.
Today's thread should have been titles "Spending the Golden Years with Bob". :)

I enjoy the skaters. They will skate the long program on Thursday.
I hope Sasha can hold on for the gold.

I feel like my body has gotten totally out of shape, so I got my doctor's permission to join a fitness club and start exercising. I decided to take an aerobics class for seniors.
I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for an hour. But, by the time I got my leotards on, the class was over.

Don't touch me, I'm dead.
Fee
My journey up to Heaven,
Surprised me after all.
I figured from some subtle hints,
I was headed for a fall.
But there it was, the Pearly Gates,
All standing bright and tall,
I stood there in some kind of gown,
And I felt very small.
I walked up to Saint Peter,
Alas, it was not he.
Bill Gates of Microsoft?
Hello. Theres now a fee.
You see, Ive bought out Heaven,
Im now the owner here.
Although the numbers have dropped off,
I should do well this year.
The former Owner moved away,
To start again, He said,
His business was declining,
This place was really dead.
I asked him,Where would that place be?
I might go there instead.
Forget it pal. Theres a finders fee,
And you dont have the bread.

Good Morning Amy
What a wonderful thread, such beautiful poems and lovely graphics. I don't know why but I've always have had a fear of old age from the time I was very young.

How are you? I've been seeing your beautiful tables when I check in but I haven't been on line much the past few days. :) The sun is shining so bright today. I feel like spring is on the way for sure. :)
