Aw, cmon, there would no nuclear World War. What we're talking about, here, is a limited exchange. While the US may see it as a "limited" attack, you have to consider how other countries would see it, especially Iran's allies who would stand up for its defense. That is where the situation becomes unpredictable. What do you think the risk is? Zero? One in ten? One in a hundered? Or Certainty? What risk of all-out nuclear war should we be willing to take as long as we have an alternative?

I thought it was Nuclear Global Warming now. You thought that? Such a "thought" reflects poorly on your education, reading ability, and thinking processes.

Well, actually, just *ONE* nuke anywhere in Israel makes most of the country uninhabitable. It's pretty much over at that point, for next 10000 years, give or take few months. IIRC, the U.S. set off some 90 nukes above ground in New Mexico and Nevada and there are people living there now. Not 10,000 years in the future.

Not on the test ranges. Or, do they... ?
Keep in mind New Mexico and Nevada are bigger than Israel.
