I repeat the question...are we at war or aren't we?
I guess I should have included Mineral Man's 632 quote in my 704.
704 was my reply to his:
>However, having killed the attacking lion, I do not go and kill all lions. I kill only those that attack me. Lions are magestic creatures and have a role to play in the world<
And I might add, Islam's role is to exterminate the West, and Israel. Again I recommend John Haggee's book, "JERUSALEM COUNTDOWN" to get a clear view of what's going on in the Middle East. Get it for less than $9.00 at your nearest Costco. A real eye-opener, I kid you not.
Would you care to know how the typical Christian or atheist fares in an Islamic country? Would you care to emigrate to an Islamic country and leave the nasty CINOs behind? No, you wouldn't. Your silly bluff has been called.
You are coming off like a fool.
What SHOULD have happened after 9/11.
I admit it. I am bellicose in my frame of mind, and I have a long memory. I also have images of the World Trade Center etched into my mind.
The first lesson of 9/11 is that the enemy set the terms of engagement: there are no civilians, no non-combatants. This is the typical terrorist way of thinking. Very well. Now that we understand the rules, we can respond in kind.
Let us suppose I were President on 9/12. (A horrifying thought, but it is only a thought experiment).
On 9/12 I would have obtained a formal declaration of war on all nations known to support terrorism.
On 9/13, without warning, the capitals of those countries would have received 100-kiloton love-taps. Mecca and Medina would be flat, glowing expanses of glass. I suppose 1 megaton each would do the trick.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque would be flensed to the bare molecules of rock.
All foreign nationals in this country who are citizens of terror supporting states would have their visas withdrawn and rounded up and deported. Notice that I have not suggested internment although many people who hear me make this suggestion seem to hear the word. A visa is an invitation to visit our country and can be withdrawn at our pleasure.
We would stop issuing visas--and training pilots (for heaven's sake!) from terror-supporting states.
All naturalized citizens of the U.S. who originated in those nations would have deep background checks, the sort you need to obtain a top-secret clearance. One of the 9/11 terrorists was a naturalized U.S. citizen.
I would have vetoed the Congress ill-advised cancellation of the so-called nuclear bunker buster, which would be vital in ensuring the destruction of the Iranian nuclear facilities. These facilities are buried deeply and hardened against both air burst and ground burst of any conceivable nuclear warhead.
Al-Jazeera and all other Islamic means of communication would have been completely destroyed.
So-called Jihadi web-sites would have been denied access to the internet.
And that is for starters. We are a nation at war which is pretending it is at peace. Just give us low gas prices, our six-packs, and the Super Bowl and dont bother us with unpleasantries about terrorists.
There is an apocryphal story about Black Jack Pershing putting down a Muslim uprising with bullets greased with pigs blood and other disgusting means. I propose an update. When interrogating a prisoner who will not cooperate, give him a bath in pigs blood in front of his fellow prisoners. If he still will not talk, drown him in pigs blood.
In fact, we stand at a unique moment in time: the culmination of a 700-yearlong war between Western Civilization and barbarism. We have been infiltrated for years; the first time that the Muslims have been able to establish themselves behind enemy lines in the long history of the struggle. We can easily lose this war unless we get serious.
We are a muscle-bound giant, afraid of using our strength. We would be called bad names, which is intolerable in this politically-correct age. Until somebody floats a nuke into Long Beach Harbor, or releases Smallpox in New York, or brings down the Sears Tower. Then perhaps the American people will awaken and see that we are fighting for our lives, our children, and our culture itself. No prisoners, no mercy, and pleaseno sob-sister stories about torture.
Mature people can't justify walking away from otherwise decent humans who are caught up in a demonic cult. Muslims are the first victims of islam...calling all deprogrammers!!!
Poorly. Which reflects the backward, ignorant thinking of many Islamic states.
Why would you seek to impose that on the USA? Are we not better than them?
"Is it the west's only choice?"
No. We could all submit to lobotamies and become zombislamites our selves. There are not nearly enough qualified donors to cure Islam with brain transplants.
They all want to die more than anything else, and who can blame them? The most humane thing to do would be to assist in anyway we can.
As a Christian, I would like to save lives...and give them the freedom to choose their faith.
Islam is not a religion of freedom...it is a dominating cult.
Please let us know when it's gone...
Nah, I can't be bothered, there are too many 'but but but islam is a RELIGION and you can't outlaw a religion because it's UNCONSTITUTIONAL comments...reminds me of when, in the first few weeks of the war in Iraq, I made reference to the stupidity of having muslims in the defence forces, and got howled down.
They do say a prophet is never appreciated in his own century. I'm sick of being a prophet. I'll wait for the appeasers to get really really hurt and scared and see how they behave then.
Methinks they'll wanna NUKE THEM OVER THERE and LOCK THEM UP IN CAMPS over here. Appeasers get really cranky if they don't get their way.
What I would impose in America are strict laws to prevent and punish the abuse of the free exercise clause of the Constitution by radical Muslims seeking to undermine the Constitution and to replace our government with Sharia law. Why do you not support that?
Agreed!...Now how do we defend ourselves from this thing...this islam?
Well done!
Or perhaps not.
Oh puhleeze.
I have friends who are Copts in Egypt (Yes, they're discriminated against).... Another whose Roma who travels all over the ME, another whose Catholic who spends several months a year in UAE. Plus a best friend from Lebanon, a student from Pakistan, etc. I'm not saying things are perfect and hunky dory. What I AM saying is that I haven't experience anything but kindness at the hands of all those I've known and met.
Deal with it hun. If we all judge others by personal, up close experience....then we have to use the logic that maybe, not all people represent all of their kind.
Of course I know better. But it just as bizarre when I know real people to have them called monsters when I've known real people who were monsters.
And calling someone a fool is a bad thing for a Christian to do, isn't it? ;)
So for your own sake, keep the name calling out of things.
Hang in there Freddie...the evening has just arrived here. Don't give up yet!

Oh yeah,
As for me doing alright,
I am because I
a. Quit going to church.
b. Got a great therapist and fabulous meds.
c. Actually told someone about all that happened.
Now I'm doin' just fine :)
Get out of the shallows...come into the depths and make a comment.
