"And in a couple of generations as Muslims increasingly become the majority that makes the laws, repeals the First Amendment and otherwise amends and interprets the Constitution as they see fit, and one's grandaugheter is in some sheik's harem in Chicago, then what? That's their plan, isn't it? "
"We wouldn't be outlawing religion. Just enforcing sedition laws they way they were meant to be enforced."
Uh-huh.
And when President Hillary Clinton orders evangelical Christian churches outlawed under the guise of "enforcing sedition laws they way they were meant to be enforced," I take it you'd be just peachy-keen with that, especially when Janet Reno calls in the tanks.
Darlin',
I'm not mad.....so smile sugar.
I've seen the bad side of another religion....So I really REALLY do believe that in the right hands, ANY belief system can be twisted. And has been. The Bible, the Constitution, that fine print at the bottom of an insurance premium. All can be twisted.
If everyone who was Muslim was 'in' on the justification, I would buy it. But it seems that a very high percentage of them aren't. THEY believe they have a religion. Really. They find joy, peace, self-discipline,etc.
Jeez, all the things that others find in their religion.
We either alienate them, and make the war bigger, or go after the bad seed while trying to cultivate a reformation in the 'good' guys.
Just because you paint a form of destert tribal government as a "religion" does not mean it has absolute protection any more than yelling fire in a croweded theater.
Islam has a simple ultimate goal. Covert to Islam, Submit to Islam, or die. There is no room for a USA government of any kind in there.
ANY islamist would gladly burn the original constitution and bill of rights.
Islam is a government form just as communism was a government form. You just have the useful idiots dancing the PC hoola because they are too naive to realize the real danger faced by this resurgent blood evil.
I posted this upthread...
At a deeper level, the question still remains..."what do you do with a religion that (in and of itself) inherently violates and teaches it adherents to violate the 1st Amendment to the Constitution."
What do you do with a religion that wants to remove your right to practice your religion, what do you do with a religion that is devoted to Allah over country and Sharia over a country's laws...and believes that the U.S. Constitution should be replaced with sharia and that the U.S., indeed, the world must become an islamic theocracy.
Any muslim that believes otherwise is defined by the koran as a non-believer, an apostate...or, as we at FR would call him, a MINO.
"If we can ban the KKK"
Problem is, we can't, and we haven't.
"The big difference is that islam still enforces every call for beheading, every call for amputation, every call for stoning."
Not in the United States of America they aren't.
The Constitution is not a suicide pact.
"Then we need another amendment to make an exception for Islam."
OK. Contact your Congressman and Senators and tell them to start the process of a Constitutional Amendment. Let me know what they answer.
It appears this theory is in danger of being disproven. What happens once it becomes clear that the 'crazies' are the 'religion'?
Amen!
"When the right to practice a religion becomes illegal the terrorists have won."
Lets just take away their tax exempt status for too much political involvement- They advocate a Caliphate in the wahabbi run mosques.
I can think of three thousand innocent civilians murdered if not beheaded...in the name of Allah.
LOL, somehow I doubt they have that particular type of moment. Heck, I doubt anyone does. :)
Well, outlaw islam in the current form, as closed off to interpretation. Have them create the 'new mosque of islam', a true 'religeon of peace (tm)', reform the belief so it doesn't require political power and/or killing of infidels, and get to preaching/worshipping. Of course, they might get killed for being apostates in the mean time.
What would I do ? Well, I personally believe that religeon is between the man and god directly, so if someone said 'your beliefs are now outlawed', I'd just shrug and go on believing as I do. I don't need a place of worship, nor do I need someone to tell me what I should believe, nor do I need to tell others how to believe. My hereafter is between god and myself. In the meantime, I have more important things to attend to in my mortail coil, such as, keeping an eye on crazy religeous fanatics cutting it short.
So we just enforce laws against acts and behaviors.
Not religious belief. :)
"No, it's the text of the first political cartoon ever printed in an American newspaper."
Hey! But wasn't Ben Franklin a Muslim? No? Never mind.
islam calls explicitly for the forced conversion, enslavement and/or death of non-believers. That would be OK, if they didn't actually do it. Sadly, they have quite the cottage industry of doing it at every opportunity.
It's no accident that islam has been described as a religion defined by bloody borders, nor that of the 22 or so active armed conflicts around the world 90% involve islam.
Oops sorry missed your adjective "American."
If most of the six+ million American Muslims were tacit or active terrorists, Main Street USA would look like Fallujah.
I now return you to the Two Minute's Hate, already in progress.
Oh, come on! Didn't you read about the 6,743 Americans beheaded this morning on their way to Presidents' Day sales across the fruited plain?
BTW, this post is fully compliant with the maxim that 86% of all statistics quoted on the Internet are made up at time of post...
