While Ian Flemming is correct it must be remembered that when it comes to matters of national security there are no coincidents.
I have no problem with this trail leading to whatever it may uncover. This includes the Administrations of Clinton and Bush (and any others).
Most of us certainly understand America stood on the sidelines as worldwide terrorism increased during the 80's and 90's. Even the attempted WTC strike in 1993 failed to galvanize the USA - we were too damn busy enjoying the good times!
Well, 9/11 was a major wake up call.
Too many innocent Americans were murdered during the 9/11 attacks and many more in the military have been hideously injured or KIA in fighting this WOT in the Mideast. These people and their survivors deserve better.
It is time to quit hiding facts and shredding files. If it is uncovered some politicians were busy CYA and allowed national security to be compromised, then let the chips fall where they may. This includes up to and including boht Clinton and Bush, as well as their Cabinets.
The truth is the truth.
Bump.
Indeed. Appropos.
"owever, I am surprised that the left has not yet found an effective way to nail anything negative about this story on Bush."
The Clinton administration has most of the culpability for the Able Danger fiasco. This is crystal clear. That explains the complete silence of the press. the Bush administration has been suppressing the Able Danger story from the start. That tells us they also must have made some kind of mistake that they're trying to cover.
Bump!
