Not only that, but this is a war which many, too many, Americans of all stripes just cannot fathom as real. Islam will never be a religion which will assimilate in a Western culture of tolerance , freedom, justice, or democratic liberty. We must face that and realize that this is a world war which we must win even if Europe self-destructs.

The US just recognized the problem a little earlier than europe. They are going to have to make up their minds themselves because we can't do it for them.

I think the problems they are having now is because they didn't really solve their problems the last time. We went in, fixed up their countries, saved their economies and stood them on their feet. Had we allowed them to suffer and fix it themselves they might be stronger today.
