Is that the Nobel prize that has a bird in what looks like an empty skull?
Jimmuh Cahtuh's 'birdbrain' Nobel 'Diploma'.
Carter writes Jesus came to bring good news to the poor, but as president he reached a surprising and somewhat reluctant conclusion
government officeholders and not church members were more likely to assume responsibility and be able to fulfill the benevolent missions.

Jimmy Carter's 20th book is a tedious meditation about the appropriate uses of moral values in political life--as wisely and humbly exemplified by Himself--and of their misuses under the current Bush administration.

You always find and post the best stuff! Thanks for this info.
I was going to take advantage of the Jamaica Observer's 'Talkback' messaging box to post a pity comment or two about li'l Jimmuh, but I found that that function was disabled.
Oops. I meant 'pithy'.
That is a strange take on the life of Jesus. After all, it was a jimmycarter-like person who enabled Jesus to be crucified.
Thank God Jimmy was'nt on Iwo Jima...he would have jumped in the ocean....
off topic...did anybody know that besides Amy, Carter had 3 sons? When I heard of "John" running for the senate, I never knew he had any other kids besides Amy. Where did he hide those 3 sons when he was in the White House (a painful memory in and of itself)
The only child I thought he had was Amy......
Carter began dating his younger sister Ruth's best friend, Rosalynn Smith. Within a few months they were engaged, then married in June 1946. Over the next few years Rosalynn would give birth to three sons: John William (Jack), James Earl III (Chip), and Donnel Jeffrey (Jeff).
Jack in 1947, Chip in 1950, and Jeff in 1952.
1953 -- Due to a limited income, Jimmy, Rosalynn, and their three sons moved into Public Housing Apartment 9A in Plains.
1967 -- Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter's fourth child, Amy, is born.

"Nevada was never Carter country back in the 1970s, and I just don't think Jack Carter has much of a chance, although you never completely dismiss anyone," said Brad Coker, of Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, which conducted the poll. "Absent any fiasco by Ensign, Carter is going to have a tough time."

The first documented contact between Former President Carter and Samir Vincent was in September 1999. Vincent had organized a tour of Iraqi religious leaders to meet with individuals in the United States who might be persuaded to speak out against the sanctions against Iraq. The trip also included discussions of ways to oppose U.S. and U.K. air strikes against Iraqi missile batteries in southern Iraq, which had fired on American and British aircraft engaged in enforcing the southern "No Fly Zone."
The meeting with Carter was one of the highlights of the trip. Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, welcomed the Vincent-organized delegation into their home in Plains, Georgia.
The weekly Iraqi newspaper, al-Raee, reported that Carter expressed his sympathies with the Iraqi people and railed against the "stringent" sanctions imposed against Iraq as a result of the nation's 1990 invasion of Kuwait. The report claimed that Carter had promised to send his wife and son to Iraq. Along with the story was a photograph of Carter with the three religious dignitaries who were part of Vincent's anti-sanctions lobbying tour.
After the meeting at Carter's house, the Carters' son, Chip, escorted the delegation to a tour of the Carter Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Carter and his wife founded the Carter Center and their son, Chip, serves as vice president. The Carter Center went on to become an ideological missile silo against any U.S. policies that were not favorable towards Iraq," according to Move America Forward.

Chip Carter said President Bush was "bringing back the ugly politics where other people see America as the enemy."
Chip Carter added, "there has to be a regime change" not in Iraq but in America so as to bring an end the Bush administration.
Carter went on to note that it was the United Nations that was best able to handle the Iraqi question, and not the United States.

Chip Carter, son of former President Jimmy Carter and Rosalynn Carter, became President of The Friendship Force two years ago. During his fathers presidency, he represented the United States in 26 foreign countries. With his rich experience in international personal relationships, Chip has expanded the organizations role through managing trips to many foreign countries. The Friendship Force specializes in short-term group homestay programs. Friendship Force Ambassadors travel from their home countries to foreign countries, where they are welcomed into the homes of local hosts. After sharing experiences of friendship, personal relationships are established across the barriers that separate people, and differences of language, race, creed or politics become less important. A 1992 nominee for The Nobel Peace Prize, The Friendship Force is active in more than 350 communities in 60 countries. Nearly a half-million volunteer Ambassadors and Hosts have participated through 3300 exchanges, touching the lives of more than two million people, exemplifying The Friendship Force motto: A world of friends is a world of peace.

Jeff Carter's rising career
Brother Billy is not the only international businessman in the Carter family. TIME has learned that the President's youngest son Jeff, 27, has worked since 1978 as a computer consultant and that his clients, at least one of whom has agreed to pay a six-figure fee, included the World Bank and the authoritarian government of the Philippines. The shiest of the President's four children, Donnel Jeffrey Carter got involved in his little-known career while a student at George Washington University, where he graduated with honors in 1978 with a bachelor's...
I agree. But a simple question mark might be more effective,
I bought the book more than one year ago. What an eye opener...
bttt
Yup, we probably figured that out.
