QALAT, Afghanistan - Police killed four people Wednesday as Afghans enraged over drawings of the Prophet Muhammad marched on a U.S. military base in a volatile southern province, directing their anger not against Europe but America. ADVERTISEMENT
The U.S. base was targeted because the United States "is the leader of Europe and the leading infidel in the world," said Sher Mohammed, a 40-year-old farmer who suffered a gunshot wound while taking part in the demonstration in the city of Qalat.

Leader of Europe? Yeah. Tell that to France, Germany, and Spain.
Perhaps we could retain the humor and avoid the fuss by using a Mohammad emblem, like Doonsbury uses a feather for Quail, a bomb for Gingrich, and a helmet for Bush.
I strongly believe Taliban is in the back that organized the protest against the US in Afghanistan. It is probably information warfare and propaganda to create strong anti-Americanism within Afghanistan, just like China has attempted against Australia and Japan.
