We can move when we need to and bend to the economic winds when necessary. That is what makes us uniquely American. We are the derivatives of old anchored societies. These old Euroweanies move too slowly to take advantage of financial trends because traditions hold them 5-10 years in the past, stuck in bureaucracy. This includes the East.
We can't be touched. We are more Buddist in philosophy than even Buddhist. We become the stream.

We become the stream. Until some bad guy decides to dam it. Then we dry out and become dust in the wind.
Better to be the ocean than the stream. We were once, but we sold it out for thirty pieces of silver.
