Pukin,
When the airstrikes are called in against the Iranian nuclear program, will the weapon of choice for CENTCOM be B-2 Spirits, or F-117.
Also, I remember reading about a year ago that when we bombed a bunker of Saddam's in Iraq with bunker busters that our bombs didn't put a dent in the underground bunker. Do we have weapons that can hit the centrifuges in Natanz which are underground?
Thanks much
To: GOPGuide
Both. Both can fly high enough to avoid 95% of the missiles that will be fired at them. JDAMs don't care how high you drop them from.
As for whether or not we can penetrate bunkers, the answer is yes and no. No, because somethings will be too deep. Yes, because it doesn't matter how deep the bunkers are if we hit the access tunnels and bury the bastards alive.
If we destroy the venting systems, it again wont matter how deep they are, because they wont breath. Then we just create the worlds largest blackout in Iran, and eventually their generator fuel will be exhasted and so will their oxygen, and they will die.

"Both can fly high enough to avoid 95% of the missiles that will be fired at them."
Will the Iranians even be able to see them to launch missiles or are they just going to randomly shoot at the air like Iraq did in 1991?
To: Wiz
OK. Did anyone want to make another disparaging remark about the f-22 here?
This is why we need the f-22/f-35.

95% of the time, the Iranians wont know what they are shooting at, or where they are shooting. All they will know is that things are blowing up all around them. There will probably be a cruise missile barrage early on, with the goal of taking out as much command and control as they can, along with missile guidance installations, power plants or whatever will help the enemy wage war.

That thing looks like a relic from the Korean War, for goodness' sakes!
Didn't we have a similar fighter in the early 1950s with the engines mounted in the wing roots - P-86 "Shooting Star" or something like that?

I expect the same results as we found in Iraq, the presence of Russian, French, etc. weapons and support. I also expect the same feet dragging due to their back door deals.

Are those wings made canvas?

Yeah, didn't I hear someone from Washington say "you're either with us or against us"?

But your rational is currently off this planet! Give us a laugh again about the claim of "Obselete MIG-29s shot down a lot of allied fighters"

One F-117. The F-117 continued to strike targets deep inside Serbia without loss. Even Dani Zoltan, the commander of the 3rd Battery of the 250th Rocket Brigade, couldn't replicate the results. The air defense forces were only able to shoot down two manned aircraft in the entire 78 days of the conflict.

When BushCo succeeds with its plot to start a major war against Iran, all of us "real" Americans must sacrifice by placing more yellow ribbons on our SUV's. Who do you guys think you're fooling? We know that when you say "Sacrifice" you mean "tax hikes."
Where is your sacrifice? Why aren't your kids in the Peace Corps? Why aren't you in the Peace Corps? Why are all three of you in Iraq acting as human shileds for our troops, or for Iraqis standing in line to become cops?

I say we just let whatever is leftover from Yugoslavia go in and take care of Iran.
By the way - how many days did NATO fight Yugoslavia? I forget.

Also don't forget that there was an article not too long ago that said some Trident ballistic missiles are being retrofitted with conventional warheads. Now that will be an earth penetrator!
