I just won't go there (frying) I remember my mother making doughnuts as a kid. she was a messy cook and did not clean up after herself. the kitchen was a real big mess when she finished...
NoWay!!! Krispy Kremes are the best!
to each his own. I only like them when they are real warm and fresh out of the fryer.
DING DING DING!!!! WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!
It amazes me that with the myriad of weight-loss schemes out there, simply eating smaller portions seems to receive so little mention. I guess there's no money to be made in eating less food!
Eating less of whatever you want coupled with even a minimal amount of physical exertion will do wonders.
Krispy Kreme donuts are overrated. The best donuts I've ever eaten in my life are from the King Soopers bakery. King Soopers is a supermarket chain located in the region around Colorado.
Add to that we stopped eating them because they really aren't that great.
:-)
Which really points, if you can believe any of the competing studies, to what mom and grandma told us all as kids. Moderation, exercise, healthy fats, fruits and vegetables. Mediterranean diets achieve this. I have memories of my grandfather eating lard sandwiches. That's right, lard, sliced about 1/4 inch thick (ugh), on brown bread, sometimes with a thick slice of raw onion. He died at 92, after a misdiagnosis (he had pneumonia) sent him home instead of to the ICU.
I was about to say the same thing. Basically "Everything in Moderation". Boom, thats it. We are fatter as a society simply because we are eating more and exercizing less. Some of the new foods we eat (lots of trans-fats, basically artificial fats created in a lab) are also bad for us, go figure, we never evolved (and/or God never made us) to eat them. But even if you eat some of those "Bad for you" things, if you just eat less overall, you will be healthier, bottom line. The calorie reduction people are on to something.
-My study proves conclusively that being born is the most dangerous thing that can happen to you.-
Har! I agree! Folks keep looking for ways to avoid death, but it's always there somewhere. As soon as you're born, you're already headed for it. If you want to live forever, make yourself a good life and leave a legacy!
Pork fat STILL rules!!!
Ok, I have done the research and ran the nubmers. My study proves conclusively that being born is the most dangerous thing that can happen to you. 100 percent of people who are born, die. Most of them die before they are 100 years old and all die before the reach 200 years old. We must stop births!/SAR>>>>>>>>>>>
Your conclusion is beyond dispute! I do have a question though. What are nubmers?
