no disrespect intended, it just seemed odd to call Ike unqualified as a do-nothing.

No offense taken.
I gave Ike credit in posts above for the Interstate and being the Supreme Allied Commander.
Presidents rarely make a lasting impact, but I would be the first to say that one who did was none other than Dwight David Eisenhower.
Again Rob,context. The "that's all" reference was a sarcastic response to an earlier post, and not intended to portay a "do-nothing" opinion of Ike.He was much more than that.
I'll proudly stand by your side to defend IKE!
FREgards.

A friend of mine who is really plugged in to Pennsylvania politics told me a few minutes ago that Jubilier's people are currently in charge of the Swann campaign.I think it is the Jubilier's people who want to be part of the Swann campaign rather than the other way around.

He must've heard the crowd chant "Governor! Governor! Governor!" when Swann made an appearance at the Steelers Victory Parade and tapped out.
Good. Now the PA GOP can focus on Swann taking out Fast Eddie.

Exactly. No bloodletting primary. The GOP can unite, build a war chest and give Rendell the fits.
I'm loving it! :)

He is over 30, and a citizen of the U.S. and been a PA resident for more the seven years. Those are the only qualifications he needs. That's simplistic. It would be like me saying, "I was born in a hospital therefore I am qualified to be a doctor."
Oh well. Good luck, Swannie.

Oh well.Buckle up, this should be quite a ride!

Rendell has governed as a centrist and will be easily re-elected.
To: llevrok
That's simplistic. That's the way the founding fathers meant it to be. Electing lawyers is what has gotten our government into the mess that it is.
