"All we need is a return to our core American values and new leadership,"
Okay??? That's what it took to pull this country out of the doldrums due to your father's presidency. You planning to lead us back to the desparate state that existed when your father left office?

Carter invoked many of the same themes his father used ...
Like runaway inflation, out of control mortgage rates and a deft handling of the Iran Hostage crisis?? Can't wait!

"All we need is a return to our core American values and new leadership," I believe that was Ronald Reagan's line.

Another Carter? Do we have any more canals to give away?
To: new yorker 77
I wouldn't trust him any further than I trusted his father. "All we need is a return to our core American values and new leadership"... Jimmy Carter's core values were so off the page, he nearly lost the country and in effect did with his whacky agendas...what are the "core" values he is talking about...more rhetoric; yadayada.... Nevada, don't make the same mistake again.

Carter invoked many of the same themes his father used to rise from relative obscurity to win the Democratic nomination in 1976 and go on to become president. Somehow, I don't think "I'm not Nixon" is going to be a big winner in 2006.
