Then, in the third inning, he got announced and got a round of boos. Granted, Lancaster is ground zero for PA Republicans, but I was really surprised at both Rendell's gall to show up late and announce it as well as the crowd's discontent at his attempt to insert himself into the whole thing.
Rendell has a machine in Philly and he can usually guarantee 110% turnout in the city proper. Swann has a high bar, but he might help with Santorum.
There is no racism in the "T". They will vote overwhelmingly and in record numbers for Swann. The whole game is the Philly suburbs. If they are discontented with Fast Tax Eddie, then Swannie wins.
