What is different about this version of Democrat from the last version? The rebuttal speech that never was. Tax and spend, it's all they know.

This must be the Kaine mutiny.

That's the first "solution" he could come up with? Mass transit?
Isn't that Metro's job in Northern VA, where the traffic problem is most acute?
Tim must be needing to pay off some VDOT IOU's.

Warner denied he was going to raise taxes. Kaine practically guaranteed it. Kaine is a big-time Democrat issue slave and doesn't do anything without consulting the party. Warner is all about Warner.
Both have wives that refused their last names. That should tell you something about them.

Traffic was a BIG northern Virginia issue. Much of it is couched in language to support a "mass transit" solution to the problem which is a liberal genie wish. Liberals LOVE to dig holes to throw money in. In reality, NC's traffic is 200 times worse than Virginia's.

Seriously, the people of Virginia voted for this loser? What is this sado-masochistic need of Virginians to have their taxes hiked?

Well, as of a few weeks from now, there'll be one less Virginian putting up with it. . .
. . .of course, I'm moving into Blue Territory, West Virginia. . .

I actually asked an idiot liberal at a party (i was drunk and broke my "don't talk politics rule, to be fair, he started it) this question before the elections.
He was saying how Kaine would be good just like warner was. I responded "I guess you enjoyed that tax hike" he said "what is a few extra dollars out of my (his)pay check"
I then tried to get him to cut me a yearly check to also cover the "few extra dollars" that would come out of my paycheck, but he didn't want to play ball.

I guess this is the legislature's way of telling Kaine "we can do better."

The only way to fix the problem is to build more roads. The state(both Dems and GOPs) have been saying no to a Tyson's Corner and Dulles Metro stop for YEARS. So the only solution is to build more roads. What is the only NEW road in Norter virginia is the past 10 years? Dulles toll road. And that was set to be passed to the State after how many years? 20? 30? Now the state wants it to remain a toll road even after it gets turned over - great break for the citizens there.
This whole state is a joke. They fleece Norther Virginia of all the tax money to spend precious little of it back in Northern Virginia, and the morons here keep on voting DNC to continue this fleecing. It's a freakin madhouse here.

About as loony as NJ. They constantly whine about the ridiculous RE taxes (my brother has a 1200sq ft cape in a small town 5-6 miles outside NYC and pays just over $9000 per year), and the corruption in government and yet keep voting in the same Party year after year.

West Virginia is red, voted for Bush twice. Anyway, you'll be moving there just in time to help vote Byrd-brain out of office.

NOVA wants the whole state to pay to ease their transportation needs.
