The thing I find funny is Mc Cain excoriating Barack Obama for disloyalty.
This from a Senator who rates right at the top of the scale of disloyalty to the Republican Party!
McKook's circuits got crossed again. What did he expect from his good friend Obama? A scorned lover, McKook and his DemoRat butt boy.
Let's say you find out the Superbowl has been thrown, and it's common knowledge that most of the players and coaches were in on it...you're not sure who did what, but you really want to find out...and make sure nothing like that could happen again. Would you put the players and coaches in charge of the investigation? Isn't that what government always does? We let the crooks investigate themselves...does that make sense on any level whatsoever? Why don't the let a committee of private citizens, who have never done business with the government, oversee the investigation and make the recommendation for the new rules. Wouldn't that be a heck of a lot smarter?
Extra prayers!
The media can't rough him up too badly yet, and he probably knows it. They still need McCain to be able to win the GOP primary in 2008 so us big dumb yahoos will sit at home banging our Bibles instead of voting in Novermber '08, thus guaranteeing an easy Hillary win. And that means they can't go all out after him and burn him to the ground this early in the game, two years ahead of the primaries.
All McCain will get now is a few warning shots, though the media may lay some very preliminary groundwork fior the post-nomination "McCain is a raving lunatic" campaign that they'll eventually use to torpedo him if he wins the GOP nomination.
Well, credit where credit is due.
Ouch! Excellent job Senator.
Agree with your analysis, hope Pubbies aren't that stupid.
No I wasnt there either, but the source of my information is documented not "I think I heard someone say". After escaping his burning plane he made his way to Flight breifing room. He then went back to the flight deck and helped shove live bombs and rockets overboard. I very much resent your unsubstaniated accusations that Sen. McCain is a coward. You sir are a despicable POS.
more than that, the book says McCain helped in throwing ordinance overboard. Ordinance that could have gone off in the fire. I don' think there was a person on the Forrestal that "hid in their cabin", give me a break!
Obama: "Mr. Mcain, don't you recall my 'coronation' from the media back in '04? With all due respect senator, that's no way to talk to a 'Rising Star'..."
"Yes, he is conservative but in addition to the carpet-bagging problem, he had no voting base in Illinois and I'm sure his fire-brand conservativism turned alot of fence-sitters off."
For all the sucking up people do to the guy around here, there's one other major problem with him. He sounds like the mayor of the Munchkin City! It's pretty easy for grassroots Rats to call that guy an Uncle Tom--he sounds like he just got done eating a huge bag of Wonder Bread smeared with Skippy, washing it down with a cold glass of milk and a plate of delicious Oreo cookies, then huffing a gallon of helium. I'm sure it played a role in his crushing defeat. JMHO.
This seems more like a turf war and jockeying for position than anything else rather than some high and mighty principles in play here.
They'll kiss and make up on Wednesday.
Sorry to be cynical here but I've really had it with the pompous, arrogant, Senate in total as of late.
Having established that, let me just say flat out, irrespective of whatever wrath I may incur, that this letter from Senator John McCain is...
...one of the best BITCH slaps I have ever read. LOL!!
And he has gained mucho respect in my eyes if he does nothing else the rest of his life.
You nailed it. Liars shouldn't cry about others "posturing" and being "disingenuous".
"... good to see some 'spunk' in McCain!"
Yeah, directed at the Liberals for a change.
I also saw her on TV when Reagan was lying in state, so she appears to have recovered pretty well.
You were right and I deserve the name you called me. I should have checked before posting something I heard a while back (I am not sure, but it was probably during the 2000 primary). I guess my fear that McCain may get the nomination got the best of me and I just saw what I wanted to see. I have spent at least an hour trying to find where I got that false information. I am sorry and I admit it was wrong.
Having said that I am still anti McCain. I knew him when I lived in AZ, I still know people who know him and we all feel he is dangerous.
