Bullhockey. The kids apologizing to the Danes and Norwegians weren't the ones who attacked the embassies and called for boycotts, they are the ones who opposed such actions. Perhaps you'd have a point if you wrote "those kids aren't the ones that should apologize, it's those violent bastards who should apologize," but I fail to see why this good-hearted gesture is "too little, too late."
