Instaed, we have an ass in Baton Rouge
Louisiana? Is that near Quebec? I can't stand people from Luxembourg.
You live in San Francisco? What could be more building against nature than that?
lol luxemburg lol
World trip in one sentence.
I got a little charm that, I was told, would eliminate all
SW bugs from my desktop PC when placed on the monitor.
Now if if would only render code DO-178B compliant...

We live on bedrock in our neighborhood. There are landfills around the bay, they are the ones where the ground shifts. We have neighbors that have been here 50 years, they said they felt only the 89 quake and it was very mild.
That's great. I have lived in my house since the day I came home from the hospital as a baby. This was the first time in my 50 years did water get in my house. New Orleans , despite what people believe , does not flood every year. New Orleans is no more dangerous a place to live than San Francisco. Why do people on FR think this will happen again? Being below sea level had absolutly nothing to do with what happened in August. Poorly designed and built levees was responsible for the destruction of my city. The Army Corps of Engineers, witch designed and built them are responsible. I wish everyone in San Francisco the best and hope yall do the same for us.

...building against nature is not smart...
LOL That's funny. I remember Russel Erxlabin, or however it's spelled. He was a first round pick of their's. He was supposed to be a punter too. He couldn't do either. He was another of a long, long list of bad draft picks by the Saints.
Lots of old, old social dynamics being displayed here.
Protestant vs. Catholic is one of the oldest. The Protestants hate the Catholics, not vice-versa. The more fundamentalist the Protestant, the greater the hatred.
English vs. French is another old, old one.
Bible Belt has always hated French Lousiana, going back to when both were colonies.
On the other hand, the type of people who settled South Louisiana aren't the kind to let their feelings get hurt by a bunch of Yankees.
It makes you sick to your stomach doesn't it?
Yes they do ;)
I think it's easier for Protestants to empathize with their fellow Protestants. Wish it were not so but I truly believe that if you were able to look at it from a sociological/anthropological/historical basis it all goes back to ancient Protestant vs. Catholic.
Speaking of which, I've turned up speeches and letters from early American patriots that support the argument that in part the American Revolution was motivated by a fear that the British would legalize Catholicism in the American colonies, as they had just done in Canada.
And I've right here on Free Republic on several occasions rants about the Pope being the "Anti-Christ."
How much did they receive in 1989?
