50% did live along the Gulf Coast, but most of them were eaten when all food ran out and the residents had to resort to cannibalism. I heard that on the news, so I know it's true.

But when Clinton went to a Habitat For Humanity home to "help" he was given a cordless drill to use. He didn't know what it was or what to do with it because he had never seen a cordless drill before. How often did you see that on the news? I believe it made the Providence Rhode Island Journal and the Tampa Tribune. One mention each... You have a good memory, Phantom Lord.

Between this and Kerry the other day, it seems "50%" is the new "a whole bunch".

David! Hah. The tables turn. I remember several years ago, when CBS was looking for a new weatherman, that our local guy was on there.

His name was Todd. He thought Harry called him "Tom", and said, "It's Todd." Harry replied, "That's what I said." "No you didn't." "Yes I did." It was sad. Obviously, Todd never got a return engagement...

On the main topic, I can easily believe Harry didn't correct him. Shameless liberals, both of them.

It all depends on what "along" means. If you include not only the beachfront communities but go inland 1200 miles, Mr Nagin would be correct.

To: frankjr
Perhaps he means 50% of all chocolates live on the Gulf Coast. To Nagin and his ilk, they are the only ones who matter.

John Kerry says 53% of kids don't graduate high school, but the other 83% do. That means they don't have the benefit of his private school and math skills.
NOTE: Steven Wright says that 86.342% of statistics are made up on the spot.

Yeah, 150 million people live on the Gulf Coast. In fact there's 100 million people just in New Orleans, yeah. All chocolate. That's the ticket. So vote democrat, yeah. It was all Bush's fault. Why I had nothing to do with the Katarina failures. Yeah, that's the truth.

To: frankjr
Hey, give the guy a break willya. He probably went to public skewell where facts don't matter, all that matters is how you
feel about facts. And since he
feels sure that half of all Americans actually do live on the Gulf coast, that's all that matters to him.
See, it's not hard to interpret these things once you understand that feelings, not facts, are what really matter in liberal la la land.

Mayor Ray Nagin went on to say that he believed the population of N.O. before Katrina had to be around 4 or 5 kabillion drillion, give or take a tillion.

This explains the reason why I didn't use the buses he said, everyone knows we only had 1 or 2 thousand hundred buses and at that rate we could have only saved about 400 people.
To: GOPJ
My memory of it is pretty good. Clinton followed it up by commenting that "now that he is a home owner he is going to have to get one of these" as he had recently purchase the home in NY.
