Probably because without secure borders EVERYTHING else is a side issue. You pegged it. I spend almost all my time in the immigration threads for that reason.

Do you remember the mantra - the victors represented the New World Order.I remember seeing a GREAT bumper sticker right after that - "The New World Order has a Third Reich Odor". I used it as a tag line until BushII turned a blind eye towards the illegals.

The ONLY bureaucratic nightmare is his consistent determination to eliminate our southern border while looking like he cares about it to his core constituents. While I do believe he is a good man in general, he is an ardent globalist with little or no regard for or national sovereignty. So correct. His allegiance is to world & as I have stated GW has out slicked The Scleikmeister, Bubba & the pubbies keep falling for it. If you think that some of us true conservatives are going to continue along with the pseudo conservative act I see a surprise. Coincidentally, yesterday I see a columnist saying so. It's here - http://www.conservativehq.com/chq_survey_1302006_stats.php

At the very end of our conversation, she had to say that this "phone call was paid for by the RNC".
I told her to take me off the list to save them some money.
I never thought I'd ever say this.

ROTFLOL!
My beloved Senator(R-NC) sent me a note asking for a donation IF I thought illegal aliens were a prollem. I sent her two of the GWB "undocumented" Peso's as seen here on FR. Looks like money's gonna be a tad tight this year with the RNC...;-)

Actually, though E. Dole has performed much better than I ever expected. Isn't her voting record pretty much a continuation of her illustrious predecessor?

I hate being lumped into this category - "conservative" - when I don't agree with the assumption.
Just because I don't agree with how the President does some things doesn't mean I think he's doing a BAD job. I'm sick of being told I don't approve of him or his policies.
So .. just for the record .......

President Bush continues to maintain a contradictory and perilous position regarding illegal immigration, claiming his plan does not amount to amnesty.... Standard American language usage contravenes the Presidents specious explanation in that his plan clearly overlooks the offense of illegal aliens who entered this country in violation of law and would not seek prosecution; a full amnesty within contextual and explicit meaning.
The thing that bugs me is his thinking we're stupid and can't add 2+2.
Shut down the border; register ALL illegals; NO promises.

We need to support the President.
George Bush is right. There are jobs Americans Won't Do.
The most conspicuous such job is the job of enforcing our immigration laws.
So. We all need to get behind President Bush, and help him find someone who will do the job he won't do.
Vicente Fox, anyone?

Who's shocked by this? Anyone? Anyone?
To: surely_you_jest
Why, I'm shocked conservatives themselves disagree about anything. After all, they listen to Rush and the President to get all their ideas. They do whatever the RNC tells them to do. They don't have a innovative thought in their rich, privileged little heads. Their leaders lead and the little chumps with knuckles dragging along behind gamely follow. < /lib assumptions about conservatives >
Now, ya 'all have fun on this thread, ya hear? Keep it clean and play nice.
To: azhenfud
I sent her two of the GWB "undocumented" Peso's as seen here on FR. A lot of those pesos are floating around the RNC, I would expect. Just think of all the prepaid postage that gets chewed up processing those letters.
It must be enough to pay for the OB/GYN care to deliver an anchor baby in one of our "free" county hospitals.
